Same could be said with Yang and Blake’s relationship. Not complaining, there were signs as far back as Season 2. I can say it was a relief to say they’re now a couple. If that didn’t happen, we wouldn’t have gotten the homophobic RWBY meme. As the same with Penny, Neo could also be a prime example. Rooster Teeth, what the fuck happened to her!?!

2023-09-07 02:41:09 +0000 UTCHey, it's all good. Personally, I think RWBY's look and animation has always been its strong suit. The redesigns make it look a lot better. I'm still fond of the looks and art style of the first three volumes, but I know that's because of nostalgia. Visually, volumes 1 and 2 aged like milk. I just think some of the writing has gone downhill. Like, they brought back Penny, made her fully human, and then immediately killed her for a second time. That entire bit just felt stupid and pointless. Additionally, Nora and Ren's breakup just seems forced and kind of dumb. On a different note, I have no problem with RWBY Chibi and have thought for years that it was smart of RT to do this series directly after volume 3 so that people who missed RWBY's lighter tone had something to enjoy.

Monty Oum made the series and entrusted the project to the many people he worked with when he died. While I can say the writing could’ve improved (like Volume 8 did), the updated designs and complete overhaul in the animation software actually worked well, in my opinion. Also RWBY Chibi is a good spinoff and I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise. Yes, it could’ve improved. No, I’m not disappointed with the way the series went. This is my opinion, I am entitled to it, and I will say it. Sorry for the rant, just wanted to point some positives into the negatives. Great piece and I can’t wait to see more by you.
