As it’s a long one this time I’ve also posted it as an Audio only version that ‘should’ function as a podcast if you can figure out how to do this.

UPDATE - I think Dawn has found the TV show I was attempting to remember (it turned out to be a TV movie from 1976 - more info in the comments below).

Regarding the laptop, i know you've got it so my input is pointless, it's not bad and for a refurb it's a fairly decent price, this Thinkpad L430 has the best laptop keyboard i've ever used and that alone would be worth a premium for me.
