The display in the RTW is a plasma display, i e neon/nixie technology but with little bars instead of digits. Burroughs used to make them. I have a couple from old industrial process control regulators, I hope to make a VU meter out of them some day. You can find information about them online, and I'll bet Mr Carlson or someone has featured them
