REVIEW: Prynt Pocket (iPhone Photo Printer)
Added 2017-08-12 17:51:04 +0000 UTCIn the survey that many of you completed a few weeks ago, I saw there was much more interest in reviews of newer technology than I had anticipated. So when the manufacturers of the Prynt Pocket got in touch I thought it would be a suitable gadget to demonstrate inbetween the more complicated retro tech videos.
Unfortunately after using it for a while I feel that the Prynt Pocket is probably of most interest to teenage girls, which would be fine if my subscribers weren't 97% male and mostly over 25.
So apologies for this one...it's a bit of a misstep. I’m going to dig out something much more relevant for the next video and I'll only accept review samples in the future if it’s something I think is going to be amazing.

The zinc paper does seem a ways off color-wise - then again the idiosyncrasies of various processing formats and chemical formulations is what gives older formats like Kodachrome and Polaroid their uniqueness and nostalgia factor, so perhaps if they ever get popular enough some people in the future will wax nostalgic about photos with the blue zinc tint. :)
