The concept revolves the idea of a "checkpoint", where the few remaining knights can sync with a conduit and find relief from the world around them. Also kinda inspired by one of my favourite music vids: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqaAs_3azSs

However, the world is so dangerous, and the sanctity of the checkpoint so tempting, that many knights never leave, and become empty husks instead.
