Battlefields Set 1

Greetings adventurers, and welcome to the battlefields!

This time around we're going to war, and yes that means we'd need maps - more of them, yes?

For this first set we're doing random encounter style maps for when you're not quite in the thick of things yet! Also in this set is two outpost warcamps ringed by palisades, for when you've brought the battle to regions that haven't quite worked in crenellations.

In this first set is a cliffside warcamp! Perched by a sheer rock wall is an officer's camp where rations are moved up these ardous heights. Perfect for a raid - and for a good view of the battlefield! Here you'd find the soldiers who know the lay of the land better than anyone else.

The central camp lies to the northwest, fortified against both friends and foes, with a guarded path that leads out of the area.

The quartermasters are to the east, while the winches, squalling against the wind, lies to the south. Variants include a foggy and a fiery version, and variants with or without the wall cannons! This time around even the fiery variants have night versions, for night assaults:

These maps come in a plains variant too, so when you've got no use for a camp it gets stowed away and you get a nice lumpy terrain for battles. We've switched palettes this time around too so it gives more classic RPG tones. It's still undergoing some tweaks though, so the next set might come out brighter (we're eyeing Baldur's Gate!)
