🍎 Announcement of boring stuff 🍎

Hello gang,

I didn't pay too much attention for those annoying announcements from Patreon since I usually read diagonally all those abundant messages .

However, there is a pending change due to some technocrats hiding in their crystal towers not aware of what we are doing on this lowly earth .

Anyway, it appears that there is a "huge change" coming to Patreon in 2025 (but starting in 2024... next month).

This is about the billing model I chose when opening this Patreon a few years ago (just because Youtube are what they are :poop: hehe)

I chose the "per creation billing" because I though it was just : people not interested into a specific content don't buy it and also, if for one or more months, I was not willing to make any content, no need to throw you money at me. Simple.

(I even initially planned to make categories of contents but I misunderstood how it was working.

So it ended in a level of apreciation : 5 usd -> happy, 10 usd -> very happy.

Anyway, that what's changing :

• Per-creation billing – Because this is such a big change to how you run your business, our Product Support will offer 1-1 support to help you migrate, which takes more time. You will be able to keep your current billing model until November 2025, at which point you’ll be migrated to subscription billing automatically. However, Apple’s requirements still take effect in November 2024. If you have not switched to subscription billing by this November, your fans will not be able to purchase new memberships in the iOS app. You can start the migration process in your settings.

I have no idea of how many people suscribe via the patreon app and if I wasn't forced to change I wouldn't.

BUT as you can see, there is a time limit of Nov 2025.

So somewhere between now and 2025, I will be forced to change the subscription model.

I will have to select a price of subscription between 5 usd and 10 usd and then we will see what occurs.

And for the final words of this annoying posts, I would like to (again) thanks to you all that are still following this little corner of light nonsense in the internetz.
