Yenion - Intoxicating Devils that Bend Space Time to their Will

The Yenion appear in desperate, depraved, or hopeless urban places. Places where the people either cannot reverse the moral decay of their city, or where they do not care to. A Yenion is not attracted to combat. Rather, the devil lusts after the blood and “love” of victims lost to an environment shifting closer to collapse each day. To hasten the destruction of such an environment is every Yenion’s ultimate delight. Each Yenion has three personalities, one is always Lawful Evil but the others can be any other alignment. Even if a personality is Lawful Good they will still act with devils but will offer humanoids safe passage away from their corrupt homes. Each of these personalities has a short three letter name such as: Ral, Yon, Jon, Nom, Pop, Bal, Tal, Win, and Flo. When seeking to the entire being of the Yenion a creature is meant to mix their name as one such a Yenion with the names Bal Flo and Pop they would be referred to as Balflopop.

Yenion are fearsome opponents. Their immense political power is only further augmented by their mastery over the arcane. In combat, they will use magic to strip their enemies of stop time and bend space in ways most mages can only dream of. Then, when their foe is weakened, they use word of recall to employ hit and run tactics, wearing down the enemy. Only when they know victory is assured do they move in for the killing blow. Thankfully, they often don’t resort to violence as they consider it a distraction from their goals and studies. They have a general disdain for other devils due to some long forgotten slight, but they seldom act on these feelings, seeing even their feud with their kin as a mere secondary distraction. That is unless said kin is in a weakened position where the finishing blow would not be hard to achieve.

Most Yenion are extremely gluttonous particularly when it comes to alcohol and exotic substances such as pixie dust. They love them so much they often bathe in wine and carry large supplies of substances that they use in combat such as throwing pixie dust on allied creatures to make them fly. It is strange that Yenion feel this was considering every Vinno Devil is weak to all poisons but further research is needed to truly understand these strange creatures.

Out of every devil a Yenion is the most likely to become attached to individual humanoids seeing them as pets or in extremely rare cases lovers. In some accounts a Yenion has sacrificed its physical form to create a child with their lover, ultimately creating a Pizazz Tiefling.
