Schotty is in that special tier of super uninspiring coordinators right there with Linehan and Sarkisian. It is possible that he turns it around, sure, but I think we've seen him enough in the NFL to know what he is at this point. He's a middle of the road OC at best, and it's really on Russ to make him look better than he is.

I think he's only one Carson injury away from being extremely valuable, but at the moment I would not think of him as startable. That time share is brutal over in Seattle.

Mack's value really depends on his health, in my opinion. They are clearly working him back at the moment and he's not 100%, but at the same time I know that this regime really likes Jordan Wilkins as well. He's a name to monitor if you have a bench spot. As for White over Penny, that's also a tough call. It might be another week or two before we can get a true sense of both of their workloads, but Penny has far and away the higher ceiling. My gut leans Penny.

As a Rams fan that's had the pleasure of Schottenheimer as my OC for a few years, I have to wonder if the Hawks can turn it around this season with him leading the way. Do you think Schotty can actually turn it around? Or are the Hawks doomed till they replace him? Or perhaps you have a less negative view of him than I?
