Exit Survey - Lockheart's Not Active Enough

Hey Fans,

I'm mostly over Covid now, with just the lingering feeling of being run down from the whole ordeal. So I'm back to work!

Whenever someone decides to cancel their subscription to my Patreon, they're asked to do an exit survey. One of the main complaints is that I'm not active enough. I wanted to ask everyone if there is something I could do to be more active with you all. Are there other Patreons you're subscribed to that do something you like that I'm not doing? If you have any suggestions, please write a comment below.

I assumed being active was a bad thing because the more active I am here, the less I'm actively working on my novel. Which is, I assume, why everyone is here. And I'm always active on Discord so people can come chat with me anytime.

But if there's more I can do to make it feel like supporting me is worth it to you, I'm all ears. Please let me know. After I've collected some information from everyone, I may do a Poll to see which idea people like the most.

Thanks for your time, and your support!

You are doing great. Don't change anything

I think you are doing fine. All this takes time and it's not like you are a huge corp with lots of assets. I think there are people that just have to say something negative on any evaluation, I have met a few in those huge corps. I like the level communication that you do here. You are not a spammer but you let us know what's happening. You're good in my book.

Everyone gets sick and have other things going on in their life . Brother your no exception .If they leave because your not fast enough then it's their loss.Theres plenty of novels to pass time until the update or find something else to do .Instead their impatience ruled the day . Best things come to those who wait ..

Gotta wonder if the people that left, chose that option because none of the other options really applied, or they simply didn't want to say 'I can't afford it' because then they think they look lame. One of the other AVN authors i follow recently posted an update titled "I'm not dead", because there was so little activity. Now that's what i define as 'not active enough'.

I have a SubscribeStar account, with around 85 subscribers. I've asked them as well if there's something I can do better.

I see it go both ways, you not active enough, your post to much. Seriously some people just whine and don't understand that devs get sick or need to take time off just like anyone else. I know some devs that still have day jobs along with making a game. You can't please those types regardless. If you posted more they will expect faster game releases. I've seen devs not say a word for months at a time. So just do what you do and go on. Hell, I run out of things to post.

PS: Glad you're feeling better! I know how much covid sucks. On a separate note, have you thought about starting an account on subscribestar . adult? Might extend your reach a little bit, I support a few projects there and generally prefer it to Patreon.

I think you're communications are on point. You are certainly one of the most frank & transparent creators I support and I'm happy with your message frequency. I don't think there problem is with you specifically. As consumer prices continue to rise, it gets harder to support a large number of creators. This is especially true since I've noticed many VN releases being pushed back from monthly to bi-monthly and even quarterly over the past few years. While quality trumps quantity, since these are subscription models, it raises the price of each release as well. You're likely feeling the frustration of subscribers who would prefer shorter episodes released more frequently or an alternative to the subscription model.

i agree with the rest maybe to supplement some of the loss would to be to slightly raise the price
