Progress Report - 02/14/2022

Hey Fans,

I've got a progress report here to show you how the new game, A Moment of Bliss, is coming along. I'm going to use the Progress Tome instead of of Xianne's midsection from now on because it's easier to read. This report is going to be public to further address the fiasco of the Steam release for A Petal Among Thorns.

The first month is going to be mostly getting assets ready for use. I've built the main house, but I still have Bliss and Petal's room to make. I've completed designing two more characters, one of which is the fourth Love Interest who I haven't revealed yet. I'm also trying to get the phone mechanic implemented. It's one of those things that once it's done, it won't be a further issue. The initial setup is going to be rough though.

To address the elephant in the room, the failed Steam release of A Petal Among Thorns was hugely demoralizing. I'm still reeling from the shock of this disaster. I am going to make a plan moving forward of how I'm going to handle Steam releases. I'm leaning towards eliminating lewd content entirely from the releases, and potentially just having an outside patch to bring in the content if people want it. 

Steam doesn't seem to know if they actually want to work with adult game creators or not. They have no interest in partnering with us. It feels more like they simply tolerate us. I'd prefer not working with them at all, but the potential revenue from a Steam release can keep my entire business afloat for years. 

I'm feeling out the waters right now. I've setup a planned release of the prologue for Penny for Your Thoughts. It will be a free stand-alone game on Steam with no lewd content. I'll keep everyone updated with the progress on this. I have a feeling Steam is going to look for any excuse to ban my work now so, again, I'm just testing the waters with this. 

The support from this community has re-invigorated my morale. I am stunned with how supportive everyone has been. I wanted to thank you all for standing by me in this time of hardship. This community is often misrepresented and misunderstood. We have some of the most wonderful people here, and I am proud to be apart of it. Thank you everyone! So much!

We will see Rose just before she leaves for her interview. Her story will be important later, but the focus of the first Chapter will be Bliss. Rose has been mostly misunderstood by the MC. She has a big story to tell and I'm excited to bring that to light.

That's all I have for now. Progress will be slow as I do the initial setup of everything. It will snowball and start rolling along faster as I move forward with it. I might have a release ready in April. I want to keep that plan tentative as it could change.
