Post Release Report - v.5.2

It's been a rocky release for Avalon in version .5.2. We've gotten some really great feedback and support, and some really heavy criticism. It's been a very intense roller-coaster ride.
So my plan from here is to finish up Avalon. I had a total of seven acts planned and we're going to try to stick to that plan. Which means I'll be working hard on Act 5 for the next month and then by the end of Summer, we'll hopefully have a completed Avalon.
I don't intend to rush things, I don't intend to let quality suffer. I have some really great content coming your way and it's going to be a lot of fun. This simply means I'm not going to extend Avalon past my original plan. It was originally a practice game and I've learned a lot! Mission accomplished.
The next release should happen early to mid May.

No worries. We are all just too in love with what you've done so far. Burnout or story fatigue is the last thing you need, so anything that helps in that is a plus in my book. I will enjoy Avalon while it lasts and look forward to seeing your next project.

And even after I wrap up her first story, it doesn't mean there won't be a second in the future. Seven Acts really is going to make for a complete and great story. If I kept going, I risk burnout and the story going stale. I have great plans for the next few acts and it's going to be sexy, funny and even sometimes very dramatic. Trust me, the next project I start, you'll love even more! :-)

If you are getting a little bored of it, or excited to try new things, than I wish you all the best, and I won't say anything else. It's your life and you are doing all the work :). But if it's because of a few vocal complainers, I wouldn't give them the time of day. Think of it this way, you have 29 patrons, probably 10x more fans that get the game elsewhere and love it. How many actual complainers do you have, 5-10? You can't satisfy everyone. Don't let a few bitter people dampen your enthusiasm for the wonderful game you have made.

2020-04-17 00:35:33 +0000 UTCI agree with microtroy... i'm new to the whole AVN storys/games and what not but Avalon is by far the best one i have come across. I really enjoyed the story and the characters in it so i would love to see this continued!! Keep up the GREAT work!!
2020-04-16 23:53:24 +0000 UTCI had thought about extending it past seven Acts but I'm confident that seven will be plenty. And with all the positive attention Penny is getting right now, I'm going to make a rough draft of what a potential spin-off with her might look like. And I might do some 'What If' mini-episode with Avalon after I'm done. We'll see! But we're not halting Avalon prematurely, we're just keeping it on the original track. :-)

Just ignore the haters and trolls, sadly no matter what you do and how good you do it, they will always be there. Thank you for your amazing work!!
