James Bond will definitely be fun to do at some point! I think Matrix will likely be on the next poll 😇

I'm glad you've finally seen the LAST Indiana Jones film. Yep, there are no others after this one. Don't even bother looking! :) You're right, the macguffin of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was Indy's search for the Ark of the Covenant. Elsa: "What's this?" Indy: "Ark of the Covenant." Elsa: "Are you sure?" Indy: "Pretty sure." I remember laughing out loud with Indy's last line when I saw it in the theater. Such a great callback, especially with John William's "Ark Theme" from the first movie playing at the end. It's right up there with his line, "Nazis. I hate these guys!" Also: At the end, the character named Elsa craving the grail and Indy's dad telling him to "Let it Go" ... an unintentional reference to "Frozen?" "We named the dog Indiana!" George Lucas's dog, an Alaskan Malamute, was named Indiana. He was also the inspiration for Chewbacca from Star Wars. Finally, the theory of the effects of the grail is that much of its magic is tied to that location, the Valley of the Crescent Moon. Much like taking the cup beyond it is bad, its power diminishes the farther from it you go.

Been looking forward to this one for awhile! Glad you enjoyed it! For the next franchise to get into I think any of the ones you mentioned would be great! The Matrix would probably be my top pick of those. However if I could make a crazy wish/suggestion I'd love to get into some of the classic James Bond films! It would be a fun way to watch film styles develop and change over several decades all while following a familiar character. Plus it's cool to see where many of the persistent tropes of the spy genre got their beginnings, especially the gadgets! Which I hope you'd appreciate as a prop aficionado! I know it might be a bit daunting to get into a franchise with 20+ films so I wouldn't recommend foregoing all other franchises/series in favor of this, but if we could sprinkle in an old Bond movie every now and then that would be fun! And we'd eventually get to them all... eventually. Haha! If you enjoyed Sean Connery's performance in this you might be also interested in seeing more of his early career as the very first James Bond in the earliest entries of this franchise. They are considered classics for a reason and are definitely worth watching at some point!
