I sometimes get a little emotional when Walter goes β€œdude, I’m sorry” after the scattering of the ashes. For all his faults he is a very good friend.

I also had never seen this film before, so you are not alone in the universe of "best comedy film ever." For the record, that film is "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." Don't fight me, just please accept my opinion. Struggled to categorize it as a comedy, but dark comedy works. I love all of the actors (what an amazing cast) and the fact that it pretty much begins where it ends in which the Dude is no better off at the end than when he started...masterful. Nihilist! Camilla, I know you're not much of a gamer, but there's a tabletop game called "Fiasco" that gets a lot of inspiration from Cohen Brothers movies. Few rules. It's improv among friends with some random stuff thrown in with dice to create stories. I only played it once, but it was amazing. Love your reaction and all your work as always.

Excellent movie. Turturro transformed himself. He did great. Bridges completely transformed into The Dude. The Dude abides. Awesome performance by Julianne Moore. My favorite performance = Goodman. Hoffman (R.I.P.) = great actor. Cool twist on the typical Sam Elliot narration. The intro scene to Bunny is great. So many good scenes. "That rug really tied the room together." "This aggression will not stand man." This is what I read: One night, the kid Larry Sellers and his friends spotted the The Dude's car at a bowling alley, and decided to take the old beat up car out for a spin. Running it into an abutment, Larry and his friends abandoned the car, taking the briefcase. Larry inadvertently left a page of his homework (graded by his teacher) in the car.

That was a fun reaction. I love this movie. While being a member of the Bowling team, the Dude is never seen bowling. Many of the Dude's clothes in the movie were Jeff Bridges' own clothes, including his Jellies sandals, which he still owns and uses to this day. In an early draft of the script, The Dude's source of income was revealed. He was an heir to the inventor of the Rubik's Cube, which would have also made him Hungarian in turn. Joel Coen decided to drop this.
