Jaws - Full Length Reaction

Comments

Was planning to watch this yesterday then discovered my ex-girlfriend still has my Blu-Ray. Rather than contact her, I bought the 4K 50th anniversary disc from Target (it was on sale!). Will try to watch later on this week. P.S. Loved the YT live today.

The Jaws marketing tagline when it was released was "You'll never go in the water again!"

"The Sting" (1973) is a fantastically entertaining film! I can only recall two other films starring the late Robert Shaw - the classic 007 film, "From Russia With Love", where Shaw plays a Russian super agent trained specifically to kill James Bond (Sean Connery), and "Swashbuckler", a rousing fun pirate movie with co-star James Earl Jones.

You can see Robert Shaw again in The Sting (1973) with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. An incredible film that won 7 Oscars, including Best Picture. 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and included in the National Film Registry. A must-see for any film lover.

His greatest thriller one of the all time great movies, and Quints Indianopolis speech is best part of film for many. The chemistry beetween Brody, Quint and Hopper was awesome.

Let's give Camilla a round of applause for surviving Jaws (1975)! πŸ‘πŸ‘ Happy Wednesday. This is one of my favorite Steven Spielberg movies. In fact, it's on my top five. Always remember, you're gonna need a bigger boat.

Great reaction. The story of the USS Indianapolis, recounted by Quint, is based on a true event. There is a movie about it: USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage (2016) starring Nicolas Cage.

Great Review! I did make sure my sound was turned down just in case! LOL Thanks for the warning! I am glad that Peanut was in the room with you at least. I find it odd that it has been 50 years since I saw this in theaters. I wonder if watching it from a perspective of a Gen Z is different that someone that is a Baby Boomer? The short swimming trunks on men, platform shoes, big, feathered hair on women. LOL it was very nostalgic for me. I heard that Roy Scheider (Chief Brody) improvised the line, "We're going to need a bigger boat!"
