yea the older technology in the basement level has been really interesting to me... but then they still have iphones it seems..?! and the egg motif is an interesting observation!

2025-05-29 17:23:15 +0000 UTCI've always been curious about where the show is supposed to take place. When Irv finds Burt's address, it's given as Kier, PE 07453. This would put it somewhere in New Jersey, but of course there's no town of Kier, no state uses the abbreviation PE and there is no 07453 zip code. My theories run to either it being in an alternate universe or, even more out there, it's a computer simulation similar to the Matrix. Or it could just be that they didn't want to use a real place, kinda like how phone numbers on TV and in movies have a 555 prefix.

Loved your reactions through the whole episode and the first season. I thought that the Helena Eagan reveal was mind blowing for me. I think the character that is always talking to the board is named Natalie. Some of my thoughts on season 1 was the old technology that they use. Older cars, computers etc. I wonder if it doesn't play into the plot somehow. Also, Gemma and Mark were trying to have a baby before she was in her car accident. I wonder if that doesn't play into the plot somehow. Irving's outie had a list of severed employees in his trunk along with a picture of his dad and he keeps painting the dark hallway with the elevator that goes down. I wondered if his dad wasn't a severed employee and he is trying to investigate Lumon. Ricken is such a goofball character. I think it is remarkable that the inies found him profound, but Mark's Outie (and sometimes Ricken's wife) find him silly. I find it weird how Ricken and his wife got together in the first place. She seems like she has her head on straight but is often just frustrated by her husband. Eggs keep showing up in season 1. They mention is episode 2 that Keir Eagan drank 3 raw eggs with milk each morning. They had Egg parties and Egg drop parties. Even Helly told Dylan and that the deviled eggs were amazing.
