We bring you a terrible gift—some might call it an offering—to sate your ceaseless hunger until the next harvest comes... To be more specific, this week's release is a brand-new mystery for Public Access! Attached to this post is The Void Angels. It was written by Gabriel Robinson, with artwork by A.J. Summers, and layout by Ben Mansky.
Everyone in Deep Lake has their own story about a close call in a storm. It’s practically a local tradition to swap tall tales of getting lost in the desert, sheltering from a hailstorm, or almost getting struck by lightning. But it’s never just the weather—it’s the ghostly headlights that chased them down a dark highway, the fist-sized hail shaped like faces, or the way a vast thundercloud spread over them like a pair of shadowy wings before lightning split the sky and melted the sand at their feet.
“I know it sounds crazy,” they say, “but it’s all true!”
In this mystery, the Latchkeys must contend with a supernatural storm that heralds the arrival of hungering horrors of the Outer Darkness. The first peoples performed rituals to keep these so-called "angels" far away, but those traditions have long since been forgotten. They return every year to take their tithe of crop, but something is different this time. Will the Latchkeys manage to endure this terrifying tempest, or will they too vanish in a flash?
