While I don’t think he’s evil I also don’t agree with how he’s moving with setting these events up. I’m really curious to see how this plays out though. I vaguely remember roswal saying his reasons for supporting Emilia but maybe refreshing my memory on that might help me understand his motives more.

People recommend you watch that before S2 You and Subaru seem to think Roswaal is putting a lot of blind faith in him... but I think Roswaal is lowkey hinting he's got good reason to believe Subaru will clutch up ( and technically Subaru has saved the day every single time without fail if you look at it from Roswaal's pov). imo if his goals are what he says they are he has no reason to be evil
