The Heartbreak Shot is a pinpoint blow delivered at full power to the heart, and The Corkscrew Punch is a power blow that Date uses to deliver as much power as he can. Ricardo knew a Corkscrew Punch was coming, he didn't know the target was his heart, he got lucky that his elbow successfully blocked it the first time. All his skill, all his power, all his experience, and he even had luck on his side too, Ricardo was a champion lacking in nothing!
