[WIP] GitS: Batou, Togusa

I'm working on a small animation between two old school characters, Batou and Togusa from Ghost in the Shell. I guess it's a rare pairing.

The original models were lacking in bones, so I've been adding more through Blender in order to animate jaws, lips, gear and hair. SFM sometimes breaks when doing model improvements mid-process, so hopefully I don't do anything stupid. I'm figuring out the shading for this one, but I'm partial to a cell-shaded look so far.

Release of final version. This one took me longer to get out due to my poorly implemented ideas as well as busy times in RL. I'm glad I stuck it out tho and consistently improved it when I could.

Current progress. I think time manipulation will be a tough effect to pull. For now, my objective is to refine the main animated pose until it stands on its own. After that, I'm introducing pose variants whenever the camera flashes, like a time skip forwards. Hopefully, I'll manage to work out a solution for it not seem too disruptive.

Completed! The work process for this one was straightforward and I mostly applied lessons learned from my previous Catherine animation into it. I also tried in post-process to simulate the visual effects in Vincent's nightmares seen in the original game.

[WIP] TEW2: Sebastian, Stefano

I'm working next on an animation with Sebastian and Stefano from The Evil Within 2 game.

Stefano is a villain in TEW2 with abilities to control time. I plan to work his powers into this animation, with Sebastian being bound by time manipulation. I'll need to find the right combination between mesh animation, texture animation and visual effects for it. Early animation experiments look promising but I've still some work ahead of me.

[WIP] Vindictus: Aes Sidhe

A small personal project I'm working on next. 

Aes Sidhe is a winged demi-god, enslaved for eternity to be the gatekeeper of realms. There isn't much more story to him, but his design is uniquely gorgeous.

For this project, I'm learning how to animate textures in SFM and mimic the visual effects his body goes through in Vindictus.

Adachi's model was recently released. I'm using my days off to play with this fucker.

First time working with anime. I want to introduce lights and shadows to up the visuals but without destroying the original style.  I may improve  textures for his lower body and Izanagi's robo-cock  at a later stage.

Goal is to crunch this animation under 48 hours. Here we go.
