Yeah it definitely seemed like Emilia saying Subaru was a good guy was a big focus point that stuck with me. This episode has me wanting to learn even more about Rem, Ram and Emilia

2025-01-20 04:13:25 +0000 UTCWhat's interesting is Rem and Ram's entire distrust of Subaru was because of the witch's smell on him, and how it made him a threat to Emilia, which makes the Subaru/Emilia/Satella theories much more interesting. So Emilia personally vouching for him unintendedly went a LONG way to getting their trust. I think what made Subaru sick wasn't the physical work so much as the mental pressure of doing everything perfectly so he doesn't fail again and die. Also it's more clear in the LN but the little puppy's aura distracted Rem while the other mabeast snuck up on her so Subaru did need to save her at the end. Btw after episode 6 there's a ova/mini-movie that is canon and enjoyable but is optional as it is mostly fluff.
