2023-11-17 01:32:42 +0000 UTCJason may be stationed in Japan, but depending on his rank, the pay could be a bit paltry. Like say he's a bog standard Airman. Bottom of the barrel pay-wise. He calls the lady "Mama" as she's basically the Gym Mom, someone all the other guys look to as a Motherly figure. Given that he's stationed so farm from his home, he's got to be hurting for a little TLC. That aside, he's such a good bloke. It IS easier to root for Ippo if his opponents are dirtbags, but that's part of the charm of the series. He goes against all kinds.
