Guild Base

He appeared in the guild’s base when he logged in.

The place where the portal to go to other world was set up was where the players who could login were gathering.

The number of players who logged in one after another numbered more than a hundred.

“Ponsuke and His Happy-Go-Lucky Friends” could be categorized as a  medium sized guild based on its amount of members. It was also a guild  that had a lot of craftsmen.

Because of that the craftsmanship of the base was amazing.

When Ponsuke logged in and appeared there,

He received light greetings from other members.

And then the craftsman players left the plaza following their leader Lighter.

「Everyone, let’s do our best too today!」

「Ye~s」

「What should we create today I wonder?」

「I gotta make the ordered outfit. Someone help~」

A lot of them were problematic children, but they were skilled and great earner inside the guild.

There was a fountain in the plaza. There was also flower bed.

There was a plaza at the center of the floating island with paths connecting to various facilities from there.

The craftsmen were heading toward the workshop, while the leisurely  players were heading toward the base that had the shape of castle.

「The quota can be left for tomorrow. I’m just gonna relax for now.」

「Let’s watch an old movie yeah.」

「I want to relax and read manga.」

Many old data that got brought into Pandora could be used for free because there was no rightful claimant for them anymore.

Because of that there was something like manga café in this base  though they called it the reference room. It also had a lot of manga  which made it a place that was just right to kill time with.

Naturally there were also players who were merrily going out to level up. Each member was free to do whatever they wanted.

A bulletin board was prepared in order to give notification to the guild members. There were messages put on it.

The first thing Ponsuke did was checking the bulletin board.

「Now then, I wonder what today has.」

He looked at the writings on the board.

Most of them were recruitment for party member because the poster  wanted to level up. Next there was also a lot of writings in regard to  quota.

Naturally money was required in order to maintain the base, and the  amount couldn’t be underestimated. Base upgrade, guild upgrade……the  cooperation of the guild members was indispensable to accomplish those.

Ponsuke searched for anyone who seemed to be having difficulty.

He was also checking the items that the craftsmen were wanting while thinking about what he was going to do today.

The clearing group――before, during the liberation of the World of  Lust, Ponsuke and his guild accomplished the liberation of the city. It  was something amazing even inside Pandora and his guild could definitely  be called a clearing group.

But, Ponsuke and his guild members were casual players who prioritized having fun rather than clearing.

They would work hard in order to have fun, but they didn’t feel like sacrificing many things for the sake of clearing.

While he was falling into thought in front of the bulletin board,

「It’s Ponsuke. Oo~ii」

Anri who was together with him until a short while ago was walking toward him while waving her hand.

She was a bird girl with special characteristic of her hair looking like bird feathers. She was together with her usual group.

Kanaho――Inaho was walking behind Anri.

She was a rabbit girl with rabbit ears on her head. Another person  who was always doing activity together with the two of them was the  human Chloe――Lily who was a foreigner in the real world.

「Morning you three……it’s strange to say that isn’t it, considering we’re in the same room even now.」

They were together even before logging in.

Because of that it felt not right to say good morning to them.

Lily looked at Anri and Inaho while saying,

「You two are staying in Ponsuke’s room again? Haven’t you gotten tired of that?」

Inaho was smiling wryly.

「Haha~, I don’t know what to say……it’s comfortable there.」

The three also looked at the bulletin board.

「Ponsuke, what’re you going to do today?」

Ponsuke scratched his head with a troubled look.

「I don’t have any plan. I’m going to level up and farm item with  Mariela and others tomorrow, and then the day after that I will be with  Noin-san and Fran-san……and then the next day I’ll be with you three I  guess.」

Ponsuke recalled his schedule where it was packed with plans other than the first day.

「I’ll go to the sightseeing area after I finish my guild master job.」

Lily’s expression turned a bit sad.

「Sightseeing area……it has become small now. In addition we can’t go there because we are wanted men there.」

Ponsuke thought.

(Of course they can’t go there after rampaging like that.)

Ponsuke’s marriage scandal――the burning of the sightseeing area was triggered by Mariela and Alfie and the other girls.

Lily was also involved and she was a wanted person in the sightseeing area because of that.

It wasn’t an official wanted list, but something that was created by players.

The important point here was it was limited to the sightseeing area.

But, the scale of the sightseeing area itself had been curtailed drastically.

The facilities themselves had been distributed to each world. It was  possible to have fun there but――the place called sightseeing area was  progressively getting erased.

Originally the developer put effort to create the sightseeing area in  order to attract more players, but recently the number of player kept  increasing even without them needing to do anything, so the position was  reversed.

Most players couldn’t even switch to other game after enjoying Pandora that had been developed to such degree.

In the end they could only keep playing Pandora.

……The situation had developed into one where the choice of not playing didn’t exist for many players.

Inaho looked up to Ponsuke.

「You have it hard Ponsuke-san. You have work to do.」

「The work amount isn’t much though because there is Lighter and  Blaze-san too. I just need to give the final approval or deciding the  plan going forward.」

Ponsuke enjoyed talking with the three before heading to the guild master’s room inside the base.

The reason it was extravagant was the result of Lighter and other craftmen’s stubbornness and them getting carried away.

They would get frowned by the other members if it was only their  facility that was extravagant. 「Serious player won’t be able to have fun even if they join us, and  yet why is the application of players that want to join here is  increasing?」

Furthermore, the number of players who wanted to join this guild was extremely many.

The reason was because of their success in capturing a city, and most of all because the benefit of the guild was great.

Guild item――item that strengthened the guild and its members. Ponsuke and co had quite a lot of such item.

When liberating the World of Lust, they obtained unique item as the guild that contributed the most in it.

It was a statue that was modeled after a goddess.

Then they made the statue to hold the golden shield and staff that they obtained from the World of Temperance.

The statue decorated the great hall of the castle. The guild was receiving great benefit thanks to those items.

Other than that they also had items that they obtained from trading  and events. The guild items in their possession didn’t even lose to a  clearing guild in quality and quantity. That was Ponsuke and His  Happy-Go-Luck Friends.

Ponsuke sighed while looking at the written requests next.

「This one is from Alfie I think?」

Most of the requests from the guild members were asking for a facility or change in guild policy.

Alfie was asking additional facility in the guild base.

『I want to remodel the island to be like the sightseeing area.』

……Ponsuke held his head in his hands.

「No, that’s just impossible.」

Ponsuke quietly dealt with the requests before he left the office.

Ponsuke brought himself to the World of Lust――the World of Purity.

He was able to spend a day leisurely by himself was thanks to the  girls restraining themselves now ever since the previous commotion.

His friend Rook said something like 「O-ou, I guess. If that’s what  you think then that must be the case」 with a sad expression when he  heard Ponsuke said that.

It could also be said that his whole time was occupied except for this one day, but it wasn’t a bad thing for Ponsuke.

After all it was more fun when he had plan with others.

「I don’t know what to do with free time like this.」

He went to the city to look around. There the city’s atmosphere was  like an ancient city――it reminded him of place like Greece or Rome.

Players who were knowledgeable about history said that it was strange  to link this atmosphere with the image of purity, but Ponsuke paid it  no mind.

The NPCs gave Ponsuke scornful look when they saw him.

It was the reason why orc got called as a joke race.

They were hated by other races.

Even NPC would make disgusted expression when they saw an orc. Sometimes they would even spit or attack the orc.

He turned around and found a group of four players standing there.

It was pointless to lie, so Ponsuke answered honestly. The group put  their hands on their weapons in respond. A window was displayed in front  of Ponsuke, requesting a duel to him.

「We’re lucky. To think we’ll run into the pig bastard of that freak show guild in this World of Purity」

The thorny dressed players sounded childish in their speech and attitude.

「Come on, come at us already.」

「We’re famous players just so you know.」

「Isn’t he shaking in his boots and can’t move?」

The players laughed. They were players who wanted to become famous.  There were a lot of players like them recently. They wanted to stand out  so they just sent duel request to any famous player.

They clicked their tongue when Ponsuke refused.

「You coward, are you running away?」

「No, rather than running away……there isn’t any merit for me to fight you guys.」

In the first place, it was troublesome to accept the duel request.

A fanciful player would accept the duel request and provoked the  challengers back instead. Then after beating them up, the player would  upload the recording to video site.

However, the number of players who came to challenge that player  would increase drastically after that knowing that he accepted duel  request.

There were also players who wanted to do the duel just to make memory  or players who picked a fight so they could boast about it later.

There would be no end to it if he listened to them.

「Aa~a, so you’re that kind of guy.」

「Oi, let’s tell everyone just how this shitty loser pathetically lose to us.」

「Nice idea. This guy’s a loser.」

The quartet walked away. Ponsuke saw them off before starting to walk again.

「Guess I’ll go to the shrine.」

In Pandora, player had to go to a facility called shrine in order to get job and skill.

There they could get a job or increase the job level, got skill, and then checked the conditions to get the next job.

In online game there was rarely a job that could be called the strongest.

Even if there was, it would get revised at the next update.

Ponsuke had leveled up and obtained points that could be distributed  to his jobs and skills. He went to the shrine and modified his status  but…….

「This pig bastard, the enemy of the goddess. Begone from my sight!」

One of the priests who were in charge of doing the setting in the shrine.

The girl had blonde hair and blue eyes and looked like a really kind  lady――but, vein pulsed up on her forehead when she saw Ponsuke. Then she  threw away her staff and picked up a mace.

The goddess’s enemy! She said while attacking.

「It hurts, it hurts so stop it.」

「You brute! My heart will never submit no matter what! You’re staring  at me with obscene imagination in your lust addled brain anyway!」

She was spouting such line. Ponsuke felt angry at the management even while modifying his jobs and skills.

The surrounding was watching that sight while saying things like 「As  expected orc is a joke race」. Ponsuke paid them no mind because he was  used to it.

Also, perhaps it was the effect of the rapid increase of the number of players……the number of malicious players also increased.

They looked at Ponsuke.

「Oi, look. That guy is alone.」

「Is he a solo player?」

「Orc is just disgusting.」

The players who were pointing at him while cackling were players who had only started recently and didn’t know about Ponsuke.

He could go to an eating tour, and he also wanted to enjoy the game in other way than fighting monster occasionally.

There was a group who was walking toward Ponsuke at that timing.

All of them were wearing armband on their left arm. It showed that  they were people in mass media――news reporters who were recognized  officially by the management.

「Can you spare us a bit of your time?」

Ponsuke felt like he had seen the player from somewhere and realized that she was the female announcer from the TV.

Even Ponsuke had seen her in the morning news recording. He recalled that she was someone who was getting popular lately.

He scratched his head with an embarrassed look. Then the other  players controlled some drones to take the recording from multiple  cameras.

After they finished their preparation, the woman started her interviewing.

「I wish to ask you as one of the few orc players in Pandora. What is exactly the appeal of playing as orc?」

It seemed that she was doing a special report about orc.

(Well, it’s a joke race after all, so perhaps she’s curious? Is something like this usable for news report?)

「Orc lose ability-wise but, if you do the orc race’s special events then there will be more things that you can do.」

Ponsuke looked at the reporter.

(What’s with her? Could it be she’s planning to deny everything that I said?)

After thinking that, Ponsuke predicted that she must have a certain answer that she wanted to hear from him.

「……Well, there’ll always be players who play using joke character no matter what.」

The female announcer made an understanding face when he said that.

「I see. Then, will you participate in the experiment that our program  will hold after this? We wish to verify the orc’s capability.」

The female announcer purposefully closed her distance to Ponsuke. Perhaps she wanted more material to use for her TV program.

Her crews were checking the recording and the voices while the announcer kept asking whether Ponsuke would accept or not.

When the camera stopped,

She was interacting with him smilingly.

「We just need you to accompany us for a little bit. Please」

Ponsuke ogled her with a lewd look.

「Y-yes. If it’s just for a little bit」

Like that, Ponsuke participated in the experiment that a news program was holding.
