Arc 1: The Birth of Incubus

Chapter 23 – Uncontrolled Birthing Hole   Fall

The walls inside the dungeon were all shining faintly because of the effect from the inclination of magic power.

Because of that the interior of a dungeon was different from normal  cave. We could rapidly get deeper without even preparing any lantern.

But of course there was other obstruction than darkness inside the dungeon.

It was the monsters that kept coming out endlessly.

「「「GAAAAAAAAAAAA!」」」

Spotted Snake, Blue Fang, Great Grizzly.

The same monsters that attacked the village blocked our way by attacking us.

The inside of the dungeon was very big compared to a normal cave. We would get surrounded right away if we let our guard down.

But that wouldn’t be a serious problem at all for the current us.

「Form Change!」

「「「GUGYAH!?」」」

My penis instantly stretched long and pierced the vitals of the monsters that came from the passage ahead all at once.

And then I lightly swung it to the side. My penis that had  transformed into adamantite bisected the monsters without any  resistance. The monster corpses were rapidly piling up.

「GUEEEEEEEEEH!」

A silhouette jumped at me from the side as I continued advancing.

Level 40. It was a surprise attack from a Black Lizard that specialized in lurking in the darkness.

But it had already been detected by Alicia’s Area Detection.

「Form Change!」

「GUGEH!?」

Instant kill.

The penis sword followed my thought and its base bubbled up. A new  blade stood erect from there. The black lizard was killed without even  any need for me to swing my arm.

My penis that could transform freely had no blind spot. Even though  this was my first experience fighting in a dungeon, I was able to keep  forging ahead without stopping.

Actually I had realized this from my experience in the material  gathering quest with the forest wolves, but apparently the magic power  consumption rate of my skills was really good.

Penis Attribute Change consumed quite a lot of magic power, but Form  Change didn’t consume that much, so I was able to swing around my penis  with a lot of leeway once it had finished changing into adamantite.

Although letting your guard down was forbidden inside a dungeon.

That was all the more true when this was my first time challenging a  dungeon. I also alternately used the sword that Weips-san gave to me in  order to keep my magic power consumption as small as possible while  getting deeper into the dungeon.

The monsters that came out were all the same type with the monsters  that surrounded the village. Their level was 50 or 60 at best.

Alicia could display her full strength without hiding her Gift. With  her excellent support, there was no reason for us to be pushed into a  hard fight. Our dungeon capture was progressing nonstop.

It was then.

「GUOOOOOOOOOOOOH!」

For some reason we could hear the shriek of death agony of a monster from deeper ahead.

We headed there with curiosity of what was going on.

「That’s……!」

What was there was a dead Black Grizzly with its body in pieces.

And a swarm of Armor Ants surrounding it to share its meat.

「「「「GICHIGICHIGICHIGICHI!」」」」

There were around 10 Armor Ants. There was also an Armor Ant – Platoon radiating its overwhelming presence as it led that force.

It was the powerful monster that attacked Sonya near the city the other day.

This must be because the interior of the dungeon was overflowing with monsters.

It seemed that these ferocious carnivore bugs were born inside the  same dungeon and attacked other monsters as food. I could also see other  monsters running away while ignoring us. It seemed the ants also  targeted other monsters.

And then, the ants that were dismantling the Black Grizzly’s body turned their eyes simultaneously toward us.

「GIIIIIIIIIH!」

And then the ants rushed toward us under the Platoon’s order!

However this was a battle that I had won before.

「YAAAAAAAAAAAH!」

The penis sword that could easily tear apart even their metallic thick shell flashed once, twice, thrice.

The ferocious ants stopped moving completely with just that.

But at the same time any composure vanished from my face.

「Now even level 80 monster is coming out……the dungeon might grow even  more until beyond our capability to take care of if we don’t hurry.  Let’s hurry up.」

「……Yes.」

Even stronger monster might come out after this.

We stayed on our guard while hurrying toward the depth of the dungeon.

Perhaps because it hadn’t been that long since this dungeon  manifested, the route didn’t branch off too much although it had  matured.

Because of that we guessed that we would be able to arrive at the  deepest part where the dungeon core was located if we followed the  direction from where the monsters came from.

Like that we charged through the route that we thought as the shortest one but……

「……Eh? Could it be that’s the core?」

I was taken aback when we found that shining orb.

After all it hadn’t been that long since we defeated the Armor Ants before we discovered this core.

It was so easy that it felt like anticlimax.

After that monster that was stronger than Armor Ant – Platoon also  didn’t show up at all. We also didn’t encounter anything like monster  room──a troublesome place where monsters just kept coming out from all  directions without pause──which was said to be something common in a  magic saturated dungeon.

We reached this deepest area very easily.

「The dungeon will be cleared if we just break this but……strange.」

I tilted my head in front of the core.

Certainly this dungeon was creating a ton of monster.

But, somehow, it felt like the number was small for a saturated dungeon…….

There was no doubting that monsters were flooding out from this  dungeon, and yet if asked whether this dungeon was really that crowded  until monsters had to surge out, I really didn’t think so.

Or perhaps I simply didn’t understand because I had no experience of  capturing a dungeon, so just this many monsters was actually already  considered as crowded for a dungeon?

At the very least it was already crowded that the Armor Ants started  preying upon other monsters, so it was highly possible that I was just  over thinking it.

「……Erio, We need to destroy the core.」

「Ah, sorry! I was distracted for a bit.」

Alicia poked at my side seeing I was caught up in my discomfort like that.

I came back to my senses and stabbed the core with the penis sword.

*Prang0!*

Although it was an instant dungeon, perhaps because it hadn’t been  that long since it manifested, it seemed there wasn’t any monster here  that could be considered as boss monster.

Like that we successfully destroyed the core without any opposition.

The dungeon was now reduced into a mere large cave now that the core was destroyed.

We dashed through the passage that was littered with monster corpses  while the wall was still shining from the residue magic power.

「Tsu!? I can’t believe it, when we saw that there was no more monster  coming out we thought……you two seriously conquered a saturated dungeon  alone!? What’s more just by the two of you alone!」

「Unbelievable……I pity the guys who’re rushing to the city to call for reinforcement. Their effort is all for nothing.」

When we returned to the surface, the senior adventurers who were waiting for our return dashed to welcome us happily.

Everyone’s eyes widened seeing the core fragment we brought back as  the proof of our success. They couldn’t take off their eyes from it.

After that the seniors cheerfully slapped my shoulder and rejoiced  loudly saying things like 「We’re going to carry back the monster  materials that you guys defeated too!」.

「T-thank you very much. But still, if I remember correctly there are a  lot of things that still need doing even after the dungeon is conquered  right? We need to take care of the clean up first.」

「Oops, right you are, right you are. I completely forgot that with how absurd you two are.」

I said those words partly to hide my embarrassment. In respond the  seniors slapped their own head saying 「We got too carried away」 while  showing their agreement.

The clean up after conquering a dungeon.

It was mainly putting up warning sign at the area around the former dungeon.

A dungeon formed the space inside it quite forcefully using the inclination of magic power inside it.

Especially a cave type dungeon that was spreading underground like  the one we had just conquered this time, its tendency for such thing was  more striking. When it lost magic power due to the core’s destruction,  there would be a risk of land subsidence in the area.

And so at the aftermath, it was necessary to do things like cutting  down trees, putting up rope, etc, so that people wouldn’t be able to  enter the area easily.

Because of that we split up and began working.

Because the dungeon this time didn’t branch off and the path  stretched quite straightforwardly, the clean up afterward was also  relatively simple to do. There would be a lot of work if this was a  normal dungeon because there would be a need for proper mapping of the  inside to accurately designate the area that had to be cordoned off.

Like that some time passed with us doing such clean up works.

「……Eh?」

It was then, that impossible sight entered my sight.

The seniors who were working around me also screamed almost at the same time.

「W-what they hell is this!?」

「What’s going on here!?」

「Oi, over there too!? That means, don’t tell me this is……」

「……Erio, trouble.」

And then Alicia came running toward me and said this with a small voice.

「……Over there, a different dungeon from the one that we conquered……」

However Alicia stopped talking midway.

Because she noticed the large cave opening up ahead of my gaze.

And then I met Alicia’s gaze before running toward the seniors who screamed.

And then a sight exactly like we expected was unfolding there.

「It’s not just the monsters that are manifesting in great amount……!」

My voice unintentionally slipped out.

The reason was because those holes that we had just discovered were clearly enveloped in inclination of magic power.

There were at least five of them.

We learned that most likely even more dungeons than that were instantly manifesting in the surrounding area.
