First year Eijun probably could've been called a junk baller but not anymore. Now he throws his pitches knowing where they'll end up but before that wasn't the case. Junkballs are generally just pitches that have a ton of movement, which Eijuns do, but junkballs are more randomized in how they move, which isn't Eijun anymore. I think something that I love about this episode is not only Kataoka telling Eijun to lead the team, but the fact that Kuramochi was disappointed by not being told to lead the team but he STILL puts Eijun and the team first by making sure Eijun knows that he has his back and that he'll be there to help him relax if he needs it. That's a real friend and a brother. No matter how disappointed he is, he's not going to hold it above the wellness of the team. My heart really bleeds for Yui in this episode. It's such a shitty thing to be FORCED to realize your position and not be able to do much about it. He definitely got pretty far into his own head and it screwed him over.

Junk ball pitchers are pitchers who get their outs more by mixing up their opponents with their variety of breaking balls. This is in contrast to pitchers like Furuya, who just straight-up beat out people with raw speed and power.
