Anyway, I thought I wrote a devlog about how we changed up Burney's design for a second time, but apparently not, so free real estate here!
Burney's original design was really cool, but it also become one of the first designs to get an overhaul when we looked at how we could simplify our animation pipeline.

Ok...
It's been quite the month, to say the least!
After the holidays, I got pretty sick (as well as a lot of other friends and teammates), so I feel like nearly everyone I know was not having the best start of the year health wise :P. I was done for at least a week :(

We've been excited to show this off! Check out our new teaser!
Remember when I mentioned in the last blog post about it being hard to show stuff last month? Yeah, this was the reason! We were a part of the MIX livestream today, which showcased over 80+ games over 3 hours!
We we're the second to last to be shown, so the hype was real (even for us!)

It's been a very busy few months as the team worked hard to meet some internal deadlines!
Because of all this extra work, we've managed to really tighten up in a lot of areas, especially on the animation clean front, as well as making some game design changes as we started to look at how to balance certain parts of the game's combat and AI.

Maybe one day, Patreon will allow me to embed multiple video clips into a single post, but until that day, I will be able to cheat and make multiple devlogs in one day ~

Yeah... so this was an animation heavy month for us, though we did manage to get some AI stuff done as well. Not showing all that off cause it's like, boring State Machine and behavior tree related things....
I lied, I did a video this time (lol). The video in this post mostly demonstrates some basic AI and mob movement behaviors, simple "Seeking" logic with some movement variation, as well as backing off occasionally from the player.

So! For those who missed out on it via Twitter and Discord, we had a pretty fun April Fools joke this year (that went on for like most of the morning/afternoon)!
Haven't quite seen anyone (at least in the indie space) do a gacha theme, so jumped at it!
I came up with the idea late Feb and passed it along to the team, and for the most part, we just kept expanding silly ideas on it until choose this one: superheroes and villains!
