I think the issue here is you assumed hes acting this way because he was on the bench. thats not why, as he was saying he was doing it to defend Asada. He's not jealous, but he did jump to conclusions about Eijun's personality. If you didnt have the assumption that he behaved this way because he didnt make the bench then I believe I would have agreed with your opinion because it did piss me off when I first saw it! But mainly becuase it was disrespectful and judgmental more than anything.

Its so awkward but it's definitely disrespectful. I do think it was in an attempt to defend Asada from Sawamuras badgering but it was real harsh for what it was lol
