I feel like we give way too little credence to the fact that BOTH of Rhaenys children died by fire (or at least she believes Laenor did). She doesn't agree with Alicent, but she does understand her a but. I don't think it's terribly surprising that she didn't burn Alicent and all her children alive.

2022-10-20 19:22:30 +0000 UTCI think Rhaenys didn’t burn them because she would’ve been called a Kingslayer like Jaime and it would’ve tarnished the Velaryon name the opposite of what Corlys wants. The writer said that she added the scene because she thought it was cool or something but I personally think it was Bullshit. Daemon or even Daenerys wouldn’t have hesitated and crowning Aegon was an act of treason so… It was a massive L for me.
