Ochai just has a harsh way of coaching...but the things he say actually make sense when it comes to improving one's skill

It would be correct in most circumstances but with a lefty batter vs a lefty pitcher, the pitcher always has the advantage so it actually is quite advantageous to have your lead off be a switch hitter. Ochiai has some fine ideas but the way he chooses to voice them is just slimy and it's not nice for the players to listen to someone ordering them to do things.

Ochai actually raises a good point with Kuromochi. He is the lead off man and is best on base. Even Kuromochi knows this, but he has been batting right because he thought it was cool. However, he is more fearsome and can put more pressure on the battery when he's on base. Having him bat left handed so he's always closer to first base is correct. Kuromochi has been putting his style or preference over what would work best for the team.
However, Haruichi should bat with a wooden bat. It's not a style thing for him, it's a strength thing.
Lastly, Yuki is their last name or family name. Masashi and Testu are the brother's first or given names. Hope that helps with the confusion. The players have mostly been calling each other by last names on the team. Only those who are really close will use first names with each other. Very few people call Sawamura, Eijun. Only those close with him do that, like Haruichi.
