So make himself look good to the players, let them know some bits about him as a coach and what they can expect and try to rally them on his side so it's easier when he takes over. He doesn't want to take over and have all the players still thinking about/longing for Kataoka to be there. Also Ochiai saying the "subs" don't need to improve is easily one of his dumbest opinions 🤣 starting players get injured, they go through bad periods, they have issues. Everyone needs to improve so they're ready to play if needed AND to help push the starters to improve as well. They all get better together.
