It has become the most promising sports anime I've watched since Haikyuu. I think the way it was worded in the letter was a bit confusing, but I feel that the mom meant that she was sorry that all this time she wasn't able to buy him the cleats, but she did buy him new ones as a parting gift. I love me a great underdog story, and I've heard this manga is seriously good, so I'm definitely excited about this story now!
