Halloween Update 2024 - Endless Build

This Month I've continued working on getting the game to a playable state, and I am almost there. The attached build is still a work in progress for the new changes to how nights are loaded and stored which has required overhauls to the most major piece of code in the game. However, the attached build isn't fully done and really just demonstrates a new feature: endless mode.

You'll immediately be brought into endless mode when you start this build, It's a mode that starts the bots out at the equivalent of Mk 1 and increases that number by 0.2 every hour, making the night more difficulty the longer you play.

This was made possible by the changes to the code by making nights much more modular and streamlined, before there were several parts in the code that specifically called out 6 AM as a value and did all the end of night handling. Now all those processes wait for a signal that the night has ended, this means that if I don't send the signal for a night to end it won't end, so endless mode is not only possible it's easier.

Endless mode also opens the door to a mode I personally want to try out playing and making: Rogue-like mode. In this mode you'll start at midnight with no items and the bots all at Mk 0, every hour you will get the choice between getting a random item or an effect that will make the night easier, but you will also have to pick an effect that will make the night harder like increasing the Mk of the bots or turning the map upside down. I'm looking at making this mode as soon as I get the game back to a playable state, making the buffs and debuffs will take the longest but this mode should be possible.
