Added 2024-04-22 09:44:56 +0000 UTCThe dialogue system and story fixes are done. There were two separate issues causing the story mode to completely fail.
The first was that the dialogue reader had changed its behavior under the hood somehow so that it was reading dialogue it had been previously skipping. The skipped dialogue was filler dialogue that was put in as a work around for bugs with the original system that was purchased from the asset store in 2018, it's possible they fixed the issues and I accidentally updated it so that my work arounds were now the bug. Either way the dialogue system has been completely overhauled with my own scripts that allow more flexibility.
The second issue was that the new cheat menu was being disabled for patrons below leather tier, however it was erroneously taking the whole tablet UI with it when it was disabled. This was an issue that was hard for me to track down just because I always play with cheats enabled. However, once I found it it was an easy fix.
I've also tweaked the dialogue itself so that the story transitions better from the original 7 nights where the story was initially intended to end on the 7th night. There's also been some minor line changes and lore tweaks, the timing of certain events has also changed thanks to the capabilities of the new dialogue system. Each character has also had their dialogue bar changed.
