Frankston gets 4/5 min frequency during the peaks at the city end, so it's pretty close to what the Caulfield loop currently gets with the Dandenong trains.

Also, would love a video on anything Werribee/wyndham vale related.

I only recently realised that, for commuters who head in afternoon peak from Flinders St out to anywhere on the Burnley group, hoping to skip the city loop, the removal of Dandenong group from Richmond station means that that you'll have to take the Frankston train (or Sandringham) to Richmond. And without a boost to frequency on the Frankston line (which I was expecting!), means you might be better off just going around the loop 😅

Just on Phillips comment about this being a solved problem. It is amazing to me that we have more or less solved mass urban transit for over 100 years and to this day we keep getting distracted by Gadgetbahns and we don't focus on the fundamentals.

Not having Parkville in the night network is crazy... A major hospital is perhaps the most important place to have 24 transport - and not only on Fri/sat!

Ie. Is this a foolish mistake or are there good reasons which justify it at present?

Could someone explain why the high frequency services don't make it to sunshine? Surely this is a big interchange and should be a key priority??!

Oooh, this will be a good one! I follow Philip for similarly outstanding Melbourne+ content and have been meaning to join over at his page too. I’d best get over and do it. Anyway, back to this video!
