Gothic Commission (Update II + III + IV + V)

Significant structural progress despite a disruptive loadshedding schedule. Palette and other specifics will be applied as the build progress, often replaced or build upon what is already established. I'm still not sure what direction the build will take aside from the style that it emphasizes, so I'll allow intuition to be my primary guide for this particular build.

Judging by what I've produced so far, though rudimentary, it displays the obvious space that allows for expansive interiors, and attachments that will likely comprise more diagonals and details destined for revision when structural integrity consolidates a sound baseline.

Again, I'll keep you guys updated on major changes, and stay in contact whenever you need help or an opinion on anything building related. If you have an idea that you think would add a beautiful touch to the progression of the build, I'm all ears. If you think what I create is undesirable, than I'll soak in the criticism and try to better my craft. That being said, If you want me to improve certain aspects of the build from an alternative perspective, your input would be greatly appreciated!

Hope you guys are still doing well. I'll be around whenever you need me. Despite loadshedding, I'll try to add as much substance to the build as possible.

Peace to all, and much love! (^_^)7

UPDATE II:

Added houses to the east of the main feature with exclusive diagonals. The reason I kept the residentials small and compact is because of the amount of houses that will have to be uniquely dressed and grafted into its environment. Expanding the proportions of each house will extend the building time far beyond my estimate, which is already an uncertainty. Unfortunately I don't have the freedom most builders have because of the electricity crisis affecting the entirety of SA at present. However so, it won't compromise my commitment towards whatever structure I choose to raise from the ground; nor will I be demoralized under any circumstance. Aside from my work, I love building in this game, so I'll stick to it for as long as I'm around. There's just something satisfying about watching a build come together from nothing. A satisfaction that feeds the mind with new insight and opportunity. So unless I'm literally going to drop dead, I'm not going to stop anytime soon haha.

That being said; I'm planning on adding lift and drop to the geography of the overall layout, which requires a world that has depth and complexity. It naturally follows that the build first needs to be set on a default world, and refined therefrom with an exceptional amount of time and effort. Having currently afforded myself such a basis, I'll now have to work the land surrounding the the build before spending hours on making each corner of the structure come to life with minute details. Lore and connective elements associated with the surroundings sounds like a neat concept, so maybe I'll go with it.

Interiors will of course take some serious planning, vision and endurance. Though the proponents of Conquest is basically spoiled for choice with the amount of furniture and other objective additives, it by no means produce the luxury of randomly stamping objects to fill empty spaces. It still requires foresight to cohesively apply sensible interiors without adding excessive clutter and confusion. This alone can seriously tax your patience, but it's worth the time-investment.

The angle and orientation of certain structures may be subject to change, or kept as is. Seeing that I have to essentially focus on a lot of aspects at the same time, I'll try to work each section without emphasizing a specific area for now. This will at least give me a sense of completion as I progress. A completion estimate is however still in question at the moment, so I'll do whatever I can towards the growth of the build.

As always, I'll keep you guys updated on any major changes while staying in contact whenever you need help. More screenshots will spoil the outcome, so the next post that will comprise images will display the build as a done deal. In the meantime, I'll need to spend a ton of hours bringing everything together from the inside out, or vice-versa. Loadshedding may be an obstruction at the moment, but I'll pull through, I always do.

Thank you for sticking around. Your contribution to what I do is immensely appreciated and cherished. Hope you have a beautiful and productive day! :]

UPDATE III:

Despite having been super busy this weekend, I took a couple of hours today to section off all interiors, and refined a couple of mistakes along the way. Now that I have a baseline with a couple of placeholders, I can start working on the interiors before focusing on the refinement process externally.

Since the surrounding houses amounts to sixteen in total, I'll have to carefully weigh my options and steer away from repetition and redundant visual drama. Since I don't create interiors on the fly, I tend to take a longer when selecting a specific theme for a specific area. It's safe to say that internal spaces are far more challenging when aiming for a beautiful result. Exteriors can be tough cookie, but I personally find interiors a lot more challenging.

The geographical layout worries me somewhat; I don't really have a good grip on it to be honest. Hence the reason I want to work on what I've already established before scratching my head on the formation that envelopes the overall build geographically. But as always, I'll eventually figure it out as I progress.

If you want me to add anything that sound promising, let me know. If you need help with a build, advice, or just someone to talk to, I'll be around whenever you need help. I'll keep you updated! :]

UPDATE IV:

Most interiors are now being filled and refined before I consider adding more infrastructure. From there I'll need to work on the landscaping, small details, and potential lore that will breath life into the environment.

As before mentioned, my progress would have been a lot more expansive if we didn't suffer from a national electricity crisis. Nevertheless, I'm doing my best to add as much depth and expansion when I have to liberty to do so.

I'll keep you updated on any major changes that will take place throughout the week. I'll reply as soon as possible whenever you need help or want me to add something you think will fit the building style. Stay authentic, and don't EVER give up on your ambitions. Much love! :D

UPDATE V:

Aside from three houses on the left wing I'm working on at this very moment, all interiors are now a done deal, including the main structure. I don't want to hammer on it again, but I think it's pertinent to realize that I currently don't have the privilege of spending hours without end by consequence of a national crisis that severely limits the electrical flow throughout the entirety of Southern Africa. This simply means that 8 to 10 hours of no electricity is commonplace for all of us. Sometimes there's a suspension of said effect, but the majority of the time we are left in darkness as a result thereof. Again, it's not going to stop me from producing content, so you don't have to worry about the commitment adhered to my projects.

When the last three houses are done, I'll have to check each one to see what I've missed, or expand on what is already established. Therefrom, I'll have to workout how I'm going to splice the infrastructure to its surroundings and consider what I can structurally add to the overall appeal of the build. When that is taken care of, I'll have to carefully roundup everything into a well grafted experience without adding too much clutter. Having said that, I believe a statistical estimate is in order, thus-

Statistical Progress:

Interior = 100%

Exterior = 100%

Detailing = 100%

Terraforming = 100%

Appreciation = 369%

I appreciate your patience, feedback and support. I'll keep you updates on my progress as I move along. PEACE AND MUCH LOVE!

Thank you man. I still have a long way to go, especially with the furnishing of the build, which is being sectioned at the moment before moving towards the central structure.

Looking really good so far
