The more I rewatch this match the higher it climbs on my favorite hell in a cell matches. The chemistry is just so good, the match is so unique in their long history of fighting each other, it completely steals the entire show. For me personally, this is a 5 star match

I said it in the submission thread but a positive of no chairshots to the head and no blood meant wrestlers had to get more creative with their weapons spots which is demonstrated well in this match. Also, thank god this is the normal silver Cell and not the red one. A couple of facts about this match as well, this is one of only three tag Cell matches, the first was Stone Cold and Undertaker vs Mankind and Kane on Raw in 1998 (it ended in a no contest and isn’t anything special since it was on TV) and the second was DX vs The Legacy (Cody and Ted DiBiase Jr) at the very first Hell in a Cell PPV in 2009. There was also once a Handicap Cell match between DX and Vince, Shane and Big Show in 2006 at the Unforgiven PPV. The pink middle rope was a thing for October when WWE would promote Susan G Komen for breast cancer awareness month. Having Hell in a Cell in October thus clashed a bit with that. Not your first Jimmy appearance, he came down towards the end of the Roman/Jey Cell match. It’s how Roman won, by putting Jimmy in the Guillotine and which forced Jey to quit. You guys have been together for 12 years? Aww that’s nice. You really are a lovely couple.
