Yah, I think Kenny has said that the way he delivers his promo is inspired from how anime dub characters sound. He's mentioned that he doesn't wanna do the "badass" type of promos mainly because it just doesn't fit his style and him as a character.

2025-01-15 22:10:58 +0000 UTCI always love it when friends wrestle each other, while sometimes it can be a bit much and self indulgent, like some Triple H Vs Shawn (the HIAC one in particular) and some Elite matches, I am a sucker for those little small moments of long term storytelling and detail that only people as close as them would put in. That’s why Hangman and Kenny vs The Bucks from Revolution 2020 is so good, not only is it a great match with super fun spots, they have those moments that make you go “oooo~” as a fan.

It was the first time Kenny and the Bucks were feuding with each other, with Cody trying turn everyone within Bullet Club against Kenny and becoming the new leading of BC himself. Most of the story played out on Being the Elite and it was amazing, but also heartbreaking.

And I’m sure you already know Kenny’s One Winged Angel finisher is named after Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7. Kenny loves video games. Him and Xavier Woods had a rivalry going on in Street Fighter some years back.
