They are known to do this kind of stuff to change the topic of conversation and to skew Google Search Result trends. What do you think people were talking about after that angle? The biggest lawsuit or #JusticeForCody? They also did similar stuff when logan paul was getting sued. Remember they had a "Logan Paul fake lawsuit" angle with LA Knight? When they did that, anytime someone searched Logal Paul lawsuit or Logan Paul sued, the LA knight angle got displayed in search results instead of the actual lawsuit.

Idk if I'm connecting dot or this was just pure coincidence, but do you think the WWE did this storyline, just so they can move away from the from Vince controversy? Or am I reading this too much?

2025-01-03 06:11:40 +0000 UTCFACE TURN: Bayley I thought the way they did this one was brilliant. Bayley being able to understand Damage Ctrl’s language and hearing them talk behind her back. HEEL TURN: The Rock Imo this saved Mania. They were able to easily transition to Hollywood Rock and come up with some of the most memorable moments of the year. MOST SURPRISING MOMENT: Jordynne Grace debuts at the Rumble Honorable mention to The New Day turn, didn’t see that coming at all. BEST FEUD: Punk vs Drew SAVAGE MOMENT: Rock beating down Cody with the weight belt as Raw went off-air before Mania. LETDOWN MATCH: Bron vs Sami at Summerslam This match was super short and forgettable. I thought Sami’s whole reign was pretty underwhelming, unfortunately. Especially after beating the longest reigning champ at Mania, and then this is how he lost it made it even worse for me. MOST IMPROVED: Roxanne Perez as a heel I thought when Roxy turned heel she seemed like she was really forcing it and wasn’t very believable as a heel but she really grew into it as the year went on. Her improvements were very visible on TV each week. Honorable mention to Bronson Reed, just thought that had a lot more to do with his booking. WRESTLER WHO CHANGED MY OPINION THE MOST: Baron Corbin I was never a fan of Corbin. Most of that was thanks to Vince shoving him down our throats for years as a top heel when he wasn’t ready for that role. I thought his team with Bron in NXT was phenomenal and things were starting to look up. I’m sad he was released, couldn’t had said the same a year ago. FAVORITE TITLE CHANGE: Cody wins the WWE Championship This was the only choice for me. The story was perfect and years in the making. A moment that will be immortalized in history. FAVORITE MATCH STIPULATION: Women’s Iron Survivor This match was packed full of NXT’s best. This is easily my favorite stipulation to be introduced in recent years and I thought the women’s iteration this year was one of the best so far. LEAST FAVORITE MATCH STIPULATION: The Pride vs Final Testament - Philly Street Fight As much as I love Bubba Ray and Snoop being apart of it, this match was certainly not for me. I was pretty uninterested, and the table breaking unintentionally was tough as well. FUNNIEST MOMENT: Gunther saying that Goldberg is his favorite wrestler in front of Bret Hart Knowing how much Bret legitimately hates Goldberg made this moment so great. Gunther trolling so hard lol. Honorable mention to R-Truth in Judgement Day and also trying to enter the women’s rumble. FAVORITE PROMO: Punk, Drew and Seth going at each other on Raw before Mania This was right before Drew vs Seth at Mania and it was soooo good. Gave me nostalgia back to the great Punk promos of the early 2010s. Felt very unscripted. FAVORITE TAG TEAM: Awesome Truth This is definitely a nostalgia pick for me. I remember them running shit as a heel tag team back in the early 2010s and seeing them back together warmed my heart. MOST VALUABLE: Drew McIntyre The way Drew carried the Punk feud while Punk was injured was unlike anything I have ever seen. Dude was awesome all year and easily my favorite character of the year. Cannot wait to see what is next for him. HM to Cody, I agree with everything you said. Dude has basically carried the company on his back, so much respect for everything he has done for the fans. MATCH OF THE YEAR: Cody vs Roman Mania 40 Self-explanatory. Brought out everything that is great about professional wrestling for me. One of my favorite matches of all time.

I’ve been a wrestling fan all my life but in 2022 I really dived into the history portion of it all. I’ve kept most of my submissions in that range, because I feel as I learn about something it’s only right I show yall. There’s so much rich history in every place in the world dating back decades that I’m just beginning to uncover. I’ve found some really good matches and documentaries, and I kinda want to take yall on a world tour of the territories, every month stopping off in a new place to see how it is.
