2024-12-29 07:30:26 +0000 UTCElp is just so good at this shit He just gets the feeling and the subtlety of In ring action and in ring storytelling Perfect mix of both or else that final 5 minutes would've just not hit the same So damn good

2024-12-29 06:38:50 +0000 UTCOk if I ever have floor seats and a wrestler takes my chair out parts of that chair are going home with me. Good match, really considering they both wrested the night before and they said El Phantasmo went through multiple tables during that match.

2024-12-28 22:34:11 +0000 UTCIs there any plan streaming Wrestle Kingdom/Wrestle Dynasty next weekend? I'm not totally confident on my New Japan knowledge, hope there's someone else can provide enough contexts/previews of every match for you guys beforehand in case you are interested in watching these shows

2024-12-28 18:44:30 +0000 UTCTo answer some of your questions/confusions: - The another logo along with AEW besides Takeshita's name is DDT, short for Dramatic Dream Team or DDT Pro Wrestling, which is another promotion Takeshita represents & also one of the promotion you guys have watched some matches from (Omega vs Ibushi i believed). Takeshita started & built a career there, eventually became their "Ace"/biggest star before departing for AEW, though he still occasionally comes back for a couple of DDT's big events - Like others have mentioned, G1 Climax followed the same round-robin format as AEW's Continental Classic but with a bigger field (6 per block in C2 comparing to 8 - 10 per block in G1). Each has to fight everyone else in the same block, plus 4 - 8 bouts total per night, hence why G1 runs so many nights (19 to be exact). Another thing is NJPW does not have their own weekly shows, instead they run tours throughout the year, either tournaments or build-up shows to one of their big annual PPVs - Guerillas Of Destiny or G.O.D, the "stable" which ELP represents, is the original name of tag team consisting of brothers Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa, who you definitely know as part of New Bloodline in WWE. Originally part of the villainous Bullet Club, these two along with their younger brother Hikuleo left the group after turning babyface, eventually followed by their stablemate ELP & Jado. G.O.D was then used as the stable name for all 5 of them, & this continues even after the OG mems Tama & Tanga left NJPW for WWE

2024-12-28 18:32:59 +0000 UTCAEW's continental classic and NJPW g1 climax is the same format, the g1 has 10 people in each bracket rather than 6 and is 19 shows long over the course of a month. The winner of the g1 earns a shot at the world title (usually in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom, similar to the rumble), while AEW's reward is a title. You were right about the 1/30 being 1 fall in a 30 minute time limit and the 8.7 was just the date the event was on.

2024-12-28 17:41:42 +0000 UTCGreat watch! On January 4th, it's NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. It's kinda the Japanese equivalent of WrestleMania. On the 5th, it's Wrestle Dynasty.

2024-12-28 17:37:30 +0000 UTCKonosuke Takeshita is the one guy in AEW Im really rooting for his success he’s just so damn good and a good person. He came over from Japan a few years ago and I was following him when he was getting his first apartment so I really want this guy to get that big bag someday and become a worldwide celebrity. You just look at that guy and can’t help not to love him.

2024-12-28 17:31:00 +0000 UTCGlad you guys enjoyed, ELP announced he had cancer in October and came back less than 2 months later which is nuts. In his return he got added to the NJPW Television championship four way at Wrestlekingdom (their Wrestlemania)

2024-12-28 17:18:55 +0000 UTCNJPW G1 is basically a round robin tournament where there is 2 blocks and there is around 8 people in each block. And a round robin is where everyone in the block face eachother atleast once and get points and the leaders on each blocks fight in the finals. Which is why this is day 12
