2024-12-16 20:39:42 +0000 UTCYeah, between NXT UK, Speaking Out, and COVID, it's truly sad what happened to the UK scene. Seems to be on a bit of a rebound now, but we'll have to wait and see.

2024-12-15 22:21:00 +0000 UTCIt sucks hearing him say at the end that he thought the UK wrestling scene was about to enter a new golden era knowing WWE would almost kill the scene in its entirety a few years after this.

2024-12-15 22:09:28 +0000 UTCFrom everything I've learned about wrestling in the 50's-70's, it really seems to me that the archetype for a heel was Flamboyant,Rich and Blonde. Between Gorgeous George, Buddy Rogers, Ric Flair and Adrian Street a lot of successful heels had that same style but changed it up a bit depending on when and where they worked and they where all successful at it

2024-12-15 21:46:41 +0000 UTCAdrian is *easily* one of the most important wrestlers of the territory era that's sort of been forgotten. Meltzer named him the first winner of best gimmick of the year in 1986, which always seemed like something Adrian would have held as an honor. Such a trendsetter, it's insane (in a good way) that he was able to get over down south portraying his character the way he did. It's crazy, after how long and close they were together, he didn't actually officially propose to Miss Linda until 2005! Such a shame when he passed, sepsis is such a brutal way to go. I was lucky enough to meet him a few times on shows, Such a thoughtful guy.

At one point in their life they had their own farm and made their own plates and bowls out of pottery and stuff. Jim Cornette has some awesome and hilarious stories on his youtube about them he did a really nice tribute about Adrian when he passed.
