Ember Moon from NXT wrestles under the ring name Athena in ROH (technically signed to AEW, but primarily wrestles as a member of ROH's roster) and she continues to be pretty damn great

A lot of my ROH picks have been off their 18th Anniversary Collection on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL53kKJBMWATemN6FwCmcD3lveg15D7eNV) but I don't remember how many of those were Pure Title matches. AEW also put out a 12 hour video with a bunch of Nigel matches in the lead up to Grand Slam (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnQSnbjmA_M) but I haven't watched all of it.

I know that there are some more Pure rules matches on YouTube, but I have provisional picks for the next few months already figured out.

2024-11-21 13:56:36 +0000 UTCTo understand Nigels comment in the documentary and the ROH Style better, a tiny bit of context: ROH wrestlers were usually big japanese Wrestling fans, espacially All Japan 90s fans. And the style in All Japan in the 90s, called "Kings Road", used to be very phisically taxing, hard strikes, toughing it out etc. Many ROH wrestler and Main Eventer loved this style, for example Samoa Joe, whose whole moveset is a best of 90s Puroresu to this day. So could you be on the top of ROH without working like that? Very few could, because the fans expected that hard hitting style, and Nigel felt, that going back to that for ROH money, which was not much at the time, was not worth it. Now all of that being sad both Kenta but espaially Ki are known for working stupidly Stiff, one reason why many people think he is a mark for himself. He once Koed an opponent with a rolling kick egit and instead of just covering the dude, he dragged his corpse aroun untl he was somewhat there again to continue the match, bc he has to get his shit in. Tat is why Low Ki is a meme.Burns every bridge he has everbuilt, giant mark for himself.

Ki is an interesting dude, says some weird stuff sometimes, his takes are hit and also big misses. takes himself seriously but comes across like a nice fella and can be quite funny. They were chanting please come back to Kenta because he was just visiting from pro wrestling Noah, I think.

He was implying luchasaurus is sick because of wearing a mask. Lmfao what.one his mouth and nose is open and luchadores dont get sick and that anti mask stuff is debunked by doctors. Crazy guy

So yeah the meme isn't hating his wrestling Just him as a person lmao
