2024-11-16 18:18:55 +0000 UTCHe got a bit of use. It definitely wasn't what he deserved but he was on TV pretty regularly. Did some work with Flair, AJ, and Hogan. The real unfortunate part is that he came in during the Bischoff/Hogan era so obviously he wasn't gonna be used as well as he could have been.

2024-11-15 06:48:06 +0000 UTCThis documentary is so well done. It's definitely one of my favorite WWE docs. I was mostly a WWE/TNA kid until ~2010 so, aside from his short run in TNA, I have never really watched much of Nigel's work as an in-ring competitor. That being said, I've always respected him as one of the wrestlers that people say are one of the greats and needed to be recognized and watched. I'm so glad that he was able to make a comeback so people like me who never really got to watch him at his peak get to experience watching him wrestle again. It's so nice to watch someone be able to capture something they wanted for a long time and he definitely deserves it after all the stuff he's been through.

2024-11-13 23:22:05 +0000 UTCWatching him have that breakdown in the car and then seeing him have his moment at Wembley and Grand Slam is enough to make anyone cry. That scene is one of the most raw and genuine things I've ever seen and so relatable, I'm so glad he got to have his comeback

That boy who watched in seats of Wembley, years later gets to walk out to thousands, getting one of the biggest pops of the night in that same stadium and gets to have one more match against his longtime rival after so long. If Nigel wants to call it a in ring career, then he finally can say he got to have some closure but I also wouldn’t mind at all, if he would occasionally lace up the boots again down the line, if he wants to of course.

Nigel was in the gauntlet match at All In this year, then had the match with Danielson on the "Grand Slam" episode of Dynamite in 2024. Their AEW match was 1 day short of 15 years since their last ROH match. I was looking for a Claudio match for my February pick, but now I'll see if I can find one of the Claudio/Nigel matches from ROH to get two birds with one stone. I think there were a couple in the 12 hour "Best of Nigel" video that AEW released in the lead up to his match with Danielson.

2024-11-13 16:59:35 +0000 UTCIf you are interested I highly highly recommend the doco “The Last of McGuinness” it is a documentary made by Nigel when he decided to retire the doco is just him filming his retirement tour reflecting on his career and coming to grips with his life as someone who chased what he loved for his entire life to only be forced into retirement way to young. I still think it’s the best wrestling documentary I’ve seen.
