You have no idea how much I freaked out when Seth Rollins arrived in NXT. Was that really the kid I saw wrestling in a ballroom in Midsouth? I never thought I could see a local guy hit the big time. Every time Seth steps into the ring I'm reminded that if I had chased the same dream I could have followed his footsteps and maybe gotten somewhere with enough effort and bloodshowers

IWA Mid-South existed with some breaks from 1996 to 2022 and was one of the most important independent promotions in the 00s. Especially the annual Ted Petty Invitational tournament - wich featured the best indy wrestlers of that time and inspired other indy tournaments like PWG Battle of Los Angeles. The final of the 2004 edition of that tournament featured for example Bryan Danielson vs Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles. CM Punk also drew his first attention there and had matches there from 2000 to 2005. I might suggest some other matches from IWA Mid-South in the future.
