Bit of a throwback to my older art recently, haven't drawn donuts or oversized junk in a long time, it was fun though, thought there was a novelty to a skinny hyper shlong that I couldn't resist drawing!

We're nearing the end of the prologue! Although I think I will insert a page between the last one and this one, looking at them back to back it felt a bit like a jump, we'll see though!
Also, I'm kind of obsessed with that background boar guy I came up with on the spot, he's so cute!

I've been playing a lot of the new pokemon game and I finally finished the main story, Im really glad I was able to get through it without getting spoiled!
I was really inspired by how good the pokemon models and animations look in this game, two of my favorite team member I've been using were this Machamp who I named Grippers, 'cause he's a wrestler and he's really good at gripping, obviously : ) and the other one is my alpha Scolipede who I named Stallion.

Would you cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize your skin with him in the mud? When I designed him I always had cetaceans and semi-aquatic mammals in mind, so I thought maybe he'd indulge in some warm mud like a hippo would, hahah, I'm sure it's great for his skin! I wouldn't mind helping him exfoliate 👀
Slight potential update to his design, I thought he looked better without the darker back patterns in this piece, Id have to make a full character sheet to really commit to the change, ...

Here's a good example of why working on these sketches first is working better for me, there was something bugging me about Pascal's design before but I couldn't pin it down, I think only by drawing him over and over and allowing room for experimenting I found that something as easy as simplifying his hair shape a bit made it a lot more cohesive, if I was finalizing page by page I would have had to commit to the first draft of his design and been unhappy with it. Drawing this one was a lot more fun than I thought, Kyurem has some pretty complex angular features but I think I was able to simplify them into my style in a nice way, what do you think?
Also, as I was drawing this, I figured it'd make more sense to have this taking place in the Mystery Dungeon universe, so I sneaked in some familiar faces ; )

Not sure if you guys have seen my aquatic apes piece i did a few months ago, but I still really love the design I made for them, so why not see more of them in action?
I've been really inspired lately to fill a page with sketches like this by a friend and it was a lot of fun! fitting them together like a puzzle and coming up with poses to fill in the small gaps was a nice challenge, maybe I'll do more stuff like this in the future!

I added WIPs for the first three pages of the new comic! I've been doing a lot of style tests and back and forth, so sorry if it's taking me a long time, I also want to try out a different method of production where I work on all the sketches first and render them after, that'll give me more time to figure out a style I like for it and the art will look more consistent by the end!

The brand new revised full reference sheets of all the characters! Including the new feature, his name is Pascal! I also added a height chart, previously I would keep track of character heights very loosely, for example I'd always try so the top of Monte's head roughly reaches the midway point of Tenji's head.
