Actually Bluetista and Bootista were both a thing.

Got my timeline mixed up

Christopher Barnes

Payback 2014 was after Extreme Rules.

Chad

Man you’re pumping these out so quick Josh.

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

I knew the chops. Didn't know they did it as well for the submission. Nice

Dport

This was the theme Orton came out to in the match with Cactus Jack at Backlash 2004. Ric Flair was the 4th member in evolution by the way. Basicially Batista and Randy Orton was the future, Flair was the legend in the group and Triple H was thr present. Roman Reigns technically kept The Shield theme. If you listen to both of them, they sound slightly different. I personally prefer The Shield's version. The crowd Wooooed when Dean Ambrose did the figure four leg lock because, that was a submission move that Ric Flair used to do. They were chanting "Bluetista" not boo-tista. Basically at the previous PPV "Payback" in May 2014, Batista wore all blue. That's where it started from. You had me in the first half 23:52

Christopher Barnes

That's a good idea but I was thinking of doing the Shield vs. Evolution rematch at payback as well as The New Day Vs. The Shield in 2017.

Chad

Tlc 2012 match?

Phillyman!!

I got another Shield Match ready for you on my next Tally Tier submission.

Chad

Back when Roman was actually loved as a good guy.

Chad

I'm glad you liked my Match submission. It was bound to be a good match because Roman, Triple H and Randy Orton are all top 10 all time and then Seth and Batista are around top 20 or 25 all time while Dean is somewhere around top 50 or 75 of all time so when you have all that Hall of fame talent in one match its bound to be a banger.

Chad

My ranking of the shield members based on enjoyment from watching them is 1. Seth 2. Dean/Mox 3. Roman. Dean was my favorite until a couple of years ago when I really started to like Seth. And even then when they all retire I might have Mox number one.

Dak4life

Yeah a big part of the reason the audience started to reject Roman was because he basically kept the whole Shield presentation after they split up. (The music, gear, coming out through the crowd even) while Seth and Dean actually evolved. Also, that springboard knee thing Seth did is a regular part of his arsenal, although he hasn't used it much lately, so it wasn't supposed to be a curb stomp haha.

Wanted to respond to what you said about commentary being more sports-like and not as exaggerated. Definitely a Vince thing. Once he was out of the picture thins changed drastically. Michael Cole used to be unbearable to listen to because it was basically Vince speaking through him and everyone hated that. The changes have been so refreshing!!!

Kam

I've got sound.

panda

At 18:50 they were actually chanting, "Blue-tista", which was a nickname given to Batista since he started wearing blue trunks throughout his return to WWE in 2014

panda

The crowd was wooing at Dean doing the figure-four because that was Ric Flair's finisher, and he'd always go, "Woo!" before putting the move on. It's the same with the chops, they're imitating Flair.

Anyone else not got sound on the Streamable link?
