Podcasts are fun, I did one with my friends for a while until their dedication ran out. I've tried to reignite everything several times, but no dice, unfortunately. Either way, it's nice talking to someone who actually watches wrestling and knows how epic what we just watched was lol, I believe at some point you said you are headed to Cleveland for Summer Slam. I will be there all day with my kids, so maybe we will get to say hi at some point.

I’d love to ask a question but I legit have no idea what to ask

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

An indie promotion is like say like pwg where its a small local promotion with a small budget and local wrestlers do them shows and scouts from wwe and aew scout good young talent with some potential and sign them and they attract local crowds to a show to be a big promotion like wwe and aew u need tv deal and there in massive venues not school gyms or bingo halls that the difference to big promotions and indie

Ryan Evans

Yh I wanted that to win the poll

Ryan Evans

Hey cody u know the promos are very short will u do all them in few videos or 1 per day

Ryan Evans

I heard that netflix had acquired the rights to the show and are in the talks of continuing the show.

Daniel Carpio

Should call those moments John Coffey was talking about "iconic controversial/shoot segments"

Daniel Carpio

If you want to see wrestling movies/series try finding Heels, It only lasted a few seasons but it shows an indy production,

Karen

Whenever you do that it should be fun 👍🏻

John Coffey

We had documentary week as an option this week.

For that one question where you wanted to know like what you should put out as a weekly poll for wrestling stories I’d make one week Documentary Week. Pretty much every big story in wrestling whether good or bad has been made into a documentary by somebody. There’s a million of them out there for you to enjoy and most wrestling fans know the good ones.

John Coffey

Most likely

Would really enjoy Tally sitting in on some whenever it works out time wise!

I think what differentiates an independent promotion from the major ones is the roster. Independent promotions tend to put together one off shows and pay their wrestlers per appearance, and since they have very limited budgets, most of the roster will be one time appearances by very small up and coming names or wrestlers from bygone eras from WWE or other larger promotions. I think they very rarely if ever have exclusive rights to a given performer. So a champion from promotion A can go to promotion B, and still be referred to as the champion from promotion A cuz there's no exclusivity. I could be wrong, but that's my understanding. Also, maybe call that controversy week?

Wrestlemanla 2000 was my first wrestling game too, knew nothing about wrestling haha, Just created characters.

Blindman

Indy stand for independent promotion. So an indy is any promotion that doesn't have a corporate backing such as WWE or Ownership that foots all the bills such as AEW . There is no set definition for one though but this is how I've always heard it explained

Thanks for answering my question so thoughtfully. Also I had another question if you wouldn't mind answering: Since a lot of the promo suggestions are pretty short (I'm talking under 10 mins) will you be watching more than just the top 4 voted?
