Luna done!

Who did a lot of work this week and not enough? :)

Well, it seems like this. Because the fur is long, dusty and slow work :(

But I finished sewing Luna!

And the best part is, the fur (foe suits)  got through customs, and there are some chances, that it will be ready in time for the cosplay.

Also, I keep stocking up on all sorts of unnecessary Halloween stuff. Yes, yes, I just needed an excuse! ... But how cool those "candles" would  look at the booth! They al...

Monday

Pretty lazy Monday - I finished Luna's body only.

But the fabrics for fursuits arrived, yay, I can start working with them!

Finished my commissions, of course.

And I received a garland for stand decorations instead of our usual rowan!

Ugh. You can't just have a photo shoot and not get out of your work schedule. 

Catching it up  - started second commission (a copy of the offended Luna from Ponirebrik) while the paws for the first one are being sewn.

Materials for the new cosplay are slowly starting to arrive...

...And the pumpkin beads not only turned out to be absolutely delicious and bright to look at, but they also fit perfectly with the old leds. I think that such an decoration would fit nice...

Izzy in Bridlewood Forest

I'm sorry for missing a little bit. Preparing for the photo shoot and post-processing (and choosing, choosing, aaaaah!) the photos took some time. 

In general, I wanted to take a picture of Izzy in her native unicorn forest, reading stories about the friendship of the pony races and dreaming about meeting her friends.
Whether or not it worked, I don't know, but I rather like the result of the photo shoot myself.

It is very difficult to work. The flies are still not finished. Lying, poor things, separate from the wings.

But I made some progress with the comission - I made a test body pattern "with paws". I will reduce the fingers a bit, of course, but overall I like the way it turned out.

parasprites

The end of the week did not go according to plan, I managed to do much less than planned, so there was not much to show.

I couldn't even finish the parasprites I had started. However, that's probably my own fault - I got carried away. Result: sixty bodies embroidered, sewn and stuffed, sixty sets of wings ready. It remains, so to speak, to combine - and a couple or three conventions "flies" we will be provided.

Cosplay is also progressing, though not too much - I only had time to ...

Parasprites!

I decided yesterday to have a "parasprite day".

I usually sew a big stack of them (when scraps pile up, or when I just want some monotonous work that doesn't occupy my head at all).

This pack is usually enough for several conventions. But I think it's time for an update! Yesterday I went through the rest, counted them - yes, indeed, there were less than a third of key chains. And even less magnets.

Time to sew new flies!

New begining

Over the weekend I sketched out our Nightmare Night costumes, and I went shopping (both real and virtual) to gather material for the idea. Of course, some details will be changed, some will be added, but the general gist I want to leave roughly the same.

I rewatched the Luna Eclipsed series for inspiration - I really liked the idea on the Big Mac's cape, with the reworked cutiemark. I tried my best to do the same :)

Ponirebrik passed almost a week ago, and I was honestly going to do nothing for at least a month. 

But. 

I got called up to Nighmare Night in October and I... well, yeah. The next convention is in less than two months and there's no way I can skip it.  

And, of course, I have a lot of plans already. And ideas. 

And I've already worn Izzy at two cons (and I'm planning a photo shoot at the end of September), which is a lot by my standards. I'm tired o...

It's time to pull the cart

It's no secret, of course, that world events have hit (all relative, of course, but nevertheless) the crafters. 

Orders from abroad have decreased, simply because payment methods have become more complicated. And a lot of people are just too lazy to figure it out. And why should they, when they can buy a similar item from someone else. And to get the materials has become quite a task. Not impossible, of course, but it has changed quite a bit.

Sombra's armor

A little haircut, some armor, and the king looks much more decent. The crown and cloak remain. 

Preparation to con and some non-crafting things.

The week is under the sign of the balcony, so preparations are sluggish. 

I decided to start with my favorite, Sombra. I haven't sewn him in a while! 

But, like I said, a lot more work was done on the balcony. Well... Started! That said, considering the repairs have been postponed and delayed - I'm really glad it's started after all.

Steel Hoof

I absolutely love how charming this boy has turned out and the interchangeable eyelids make him even more emotional.

By the way his helmet is re-stitched from the real thing, keeping the look and original details as much as possible. The helmet can be put on, taken off, worn buttoned up or unbuttoned.

It also doesn't interfere with the head clasps, so you don't have to take it off every time you need to adjust mask. 

Steel hoof helmet

As I wrote (I think) last week I finally got Steel Hoof helmet.  It took a lot of work to convert a real tanker helmet to a fursuit head. It had to not only fit and detach properly, but also not interfere with taking off/on the head itself. Taking it off every time when you take off the head is a real hassle. 

But, I did it! You can put the helmet on (both by regulation and unbuckled), you can take the helmet off, you can take the head off without taking the helmet off and oth...

Well, there's not much to say. Quite a simple order with an OС that looks a lot like Vinyl. I like the combination of the mane colors and the stars on the cm though.

And I keep finishing up the last orders, keeping an eye out for parcels of Ponirebrik cosplay material. I wonder which will be quicker, me getting free or them arriving :)

And the mane and tail have a total of 64 parts. :) And fur. Fur everywhere! On the floor. On the clothes. On the walls and the table!

But a furry mane and tail is always an adventure. Especially multi-coloured ones. How many parts do you think are in the tail and mane?

Usually, plush body patterns are symmetrical. They consist of several mirrored parts. This pattern, lying on side, is probably the only one I have that falls out of that rule. It has as many as eight body parts - and not one repeating one!

It's hot again, and the weathermen are promising that it's at least for the next week. Luckily this week wasn't so bad, so I managed to work hard and almost finished two plushies and a head, almost catching up with my planned schedule. So, next week will be a good week to laze around and get them done.
