2024-07-11 06:40:57 +0000 UTCI miss Lucha Underground. It was so cool. It introduced me to a lot of really fun wrestlers. It really took off with the more dedicated wrestling audience as well. I remember seeing the LU logo shirt around a lot when it was popular. Also, Vampiro and Matt Striker are such a fun commentary team. I really like the laid-back casual style they had. It really sold that they cared about it and they were having as much of a fun time as the audience watching the show. It's unfortunate it went out the way it did.

2024-07-10 21:32:51 +0000 UTCI miss it too. What stood out for Lucha Underground besides the in ring action was really its presentation like a fantasy movie or drama tv show. There was also for example a mexican tv actor hired to portray the company owner. In a time where my interest in WWE, TNA and other promotions degraded, Lucha Underground ignited my true love for wrestling again. I am really thankful that this promotion existed.

2024-07-10 21:12:15 +0000 UTCLU commentators were Matt Striker and Vampiro, both former wrestlers. Striker had a little run in ECW when WWE rebooted it. Vampire is a legend in the Mexican wrestling scene. Had a short lived fued with Sting right before it was bought out by WWE.
