Profiteering from Magical Girls: Chapter 6

What Your Heart's Desire

The day after was confusing and frustrating in equal measure. Any attempts to reach out to Utena were not only rebuffed by Kiwi's ever constant presence, but by well wishers as they checked on how I was. Yes, I was attacked by Magia Braiser and yes, I was ok. It was fine the first dozen times, but it quickly became overwhelming soon after. It felt like they were treating me like I was made of glass, that I was some damaged goods, and it quickly got frustrating.

To vent off some steam, I poured everything I had on the track. With sweet pouring down my brows, I passed the class for what felt like the third time. Maybe I was overdoing it, but I was just so angry right now. Why the hell was I even angry?

I was so engrossed with my own thoughts that I nearly missed the teacher's whistle, "That's enough, Kaneshiro-san!" Skidding to a halt, stumbling a bit from exhaustion. Resting my hands on my knees, I turned and found her worried look as she ran over, bottle in hand.

Dendra-san
PE Teacher

Catching my breath, I waved her off, "I'm fine. I can still run." I was soaked in sweat, but I wasn't that tired; Partly with how I pushed some points down to my [AGI] and [CON]. A bit of vanity on my part, yes, but it helped with running away.

Still, my teacher wasn't convinced as she shook her head. "You're done," Said the woman. Seeing the frown in my face, she clarified, "No, you're done for the class. You already ran 5 kilometers." As I blinked in surprise, she tossed me her sports drinks, "Here, drink this."

Catching the drink, I nodded, "Thanks, sensei." A cold drink after a run was much appreciated and one I savored.

As I wiped my lips, I felt her hand pat me on the back, "Hey, take it easy, ok? You don't have to push yourself that hard." Seeing her pitying look, soured my mood further. "Go rest up for a bit, ok?" She asked before she returned to the class.

Shaking my head, I trudged over to a nearby tree, and sat under its shade. While Yume wasn't a prestigious school, being a public school and all, it wasn't lacking especially when it comes to sport. It had wide open fields for track and field and other other sports, one that I took advantage of as I sat as far away from people as possible. Maybe some peace and quiet could ease my mind.
Resting against the thick trunk of the tree, I sat down, watching as the various classes did their classes. For a moment, my eyes found Utena, and her own finding mine, before she turned away and ran faster. "Damn it… I just wanted to talk," I muttered as I looked up at the canopy and lost myself in my thoughts as I remembered yesterday.

I could still feel her lips against mine, how warmth she felt and how sweet she tasted. It was an intoxicating feeling, one that I could recall so vividly that it left me wanting. Despite this, I found myself questioning why, why did she kiss me? She already had Kiwi and yet her lips would find mine. I should just call it off, just tell her that it wasn't going to happen for both our sakes, but I wanted her. Was this love?

Tenkawa Kaoruko
Magia Sulfur

My musing would be cut short as a familiar voice called out, "Hey, mind if I sit down next to you?" Gazing up, I was greeted Kaouruko's ever present smile. While at any other time, I'd appreciate the girl's presence, I was in a foul mood.
Hugging my knee's close, I muttered, "No one's stopping you." I could have probably been a bit more cordial, but I just wanted some time to think… about everything.

The blonde however wasn't one so easily deterred. Tilting her head, she fired back, "Come on Mizuki-chan, is this how you treat your favorite customer?" Crouching right beside me, she smirked before poking my cheeks, "Or was that all just sales talk to get me to buy your delicious meals?"

Despite my best efforts to remain angry, I couldn't help but smile. Rolling my eyes, I scooted over, before asking, "Don't you have a running tab right now, Kauruko?" While the school offered subsidized lunch, my bento business was a nice little side hustle I had.

As much loath to admit it, I may have used myself as a selling point. In my defence, I was merely taking advantage of a niche. Shameless? Yes, but when did being modest help me with making money? Right now, Kaoruko, Sayo, Haruko, as well as Kiwi (Though she merely buys it to compare against her bento) and Utena were my best customers. Funny how these two groups were buying from me.

Unfortunately, a certain blonde was lazy about paying. Grinning, the blonde plopped herself down beside me. "Heh, glad you still have your sense of humor Mizuki," The girl chuckled as she leaned against the tree giving us shade.

I rolled my eyes at how effortlessly she deflected my attempts to extract payment. Stretching my legs once more, I leaned back and made myself comfortable. As silence descended between us once more, I found my gaze wandering to the class as they continued their exercise.

I had a feeling that Kaoruko was supposed to be with the rest of the class, but my spot was far too comfortable to get up from just so I could tattle to the teachers. We had a good thing going here and I didn't want to ruin that… unlike a certain girl.

Breaking the silence, Kaoruko spoke up, "Kidding aside, I just want to check on you since… you know, that happened." Of course she was here for that little incident.

"I'm fine, Kouruko-san, if that's what you're going to ask," I grumbled as I looked away. While not making the big networks, Utena's fight with Tres Magia made the headlines of the local papers. The only saving grace I had was that the news didn't name me, else I'd probably be forced to move. I was staying incognito for a reason after all.

Seeing her frown, I assured her, "Yes, she got on top of me, but nothing happened." I honestly couldn't blame her for being worried. Utena did get a bit handsy with them and it wasn't that hard to imagine her doing the same to me, but it was just that, just the imagination of people going wild.

"From the sound of it, you're more annoyed than anything," The girl noted with a grin as she glanced towards, "You're one tough cookie, huh?"

"Just because I'm small doesn't mean I don't bite," I fired back as a ghost of a smile graced my lips before it fell as my eyes wandered back to the class.

"Still, something's bothering you right now huh?" She noted, making me frown. Looking back up at the sky, she asked, "Not to pry, but do you want to talk about it? Seems like it's been eating away at you for a while and I'm not talking about the incident."

Do I even want to talk about it? For a moment, I considered just clamming up, before I let out a heavy sigh as a wry smile stretched across my lips. "Do you really want to sit here and listen to the problems of little old me?" I asked. While I'd like to solve this on my own, maybe I should get some second opinions.

"I got time," The girl answered as she shifted on her seat. With the teacher intent on giving me time to rest and the class busy with their exercise, it was just the two of us.

Nodding, I replied, "It all started when a girl kissed me…" I wanted to tell her that it was more than that, and yet, I couldn't. Despite how much of a mess I was, this was all there was to it. One simple kiss that unravelled the lies I built up for myself.

This earned me a raised brow, before a playful smile stretched across her lips. "Oho?" She purred as she leaned in close and asked, "Deets, I want to know every detail. I bet good money on you, you know?"

Rolling my eyes, I asked back, "Do you want to talk or what?" Still, as annoying as she was, she still was one of the few friends I had. This was playful banter at worst. Turning to her, I added, "Also, are you seriously betting on my love life?"

"What?" She shrugged as she tilted her head at me, "You're a cute transferee with a mysterious background. What's not to love?" As my ears started to burn, she teased, "Face it kid, you got a lot of us hot under the collar." I was cute, but not cute right?

Poking me on the cheeks, she pressed one like the annoying little troll that she was, "So, who's the lucky girl?"

Grumbling, I turned away and crossed my arms across my chest. "It's private and it's not like I'm seeing her," I snapped back before a bitter feeling settled inside my chest. Frowning, I added, "Quite frankly, I shouldn't be, but damn it, why did she have to make it complicated." They had a good thing going, but then feelings got involved.

"She got you good, huh?" She noted as she slid down and rested on her side, arms crooked and her head propped up against her palm.

"You can say that," I chuckled as a warm smile stretched across my lips, "She's this sweet, innocent, kind girl that just has a smile that gets you." Utena just had that air around her that made me happy, something I hadn't noticed until she was gone.

"I know that all too well…" She sighed dreamily.

"She's adorable, fun to be with, and she has this weird obsession with magical girls that's just endearing to see," I laughed, remembering her impassioned speech about the Kaoruko and the girls, "She loves them so much…" I wonder what they'd think once they found out that their greatest enemy was doing this all for love?

"Sounds like you like her alot," Kaoruko replied as a soft smile graced her lips. Laying down on her back, she asked, "Why not ask her out?"

"That's the thing," I sighed, frowning as I glanced towards Kiwi, "She's with someone else." As much as I liked Utena, I know she was with someone else already. The two were a happy couple and it would be a dick move to break them up just because I developed some feelings for Utena.

This had Kaoruko wincing in sympathy for my plight, "Ouch."

Nodding, I continued, "We were supposed to just be friends and then things happened." It all happened so fast. The night out, the incident and how we ran for our lives afterward, and then that one moment. "She kissed me and then left without explaining. What the hell am I supposed to take from that?" I asked, voice raised.

"That she likes you?" Kaoruko answered, giving me pause. It can't be as simple as that, right?

"No, yes, maybe?" I replied as I ran my hands across my hair. "I'm just not sure…" I admitted. The logical part of my head said that she liked me, but another part of me had doubts. Maybe it was just a spur of the moment thing? "I haven't had the chance to talk to her so here I am, a confused and utterly frustrated mess," I grumbled.

There was a slight between us before Kaoruko replied, "I'm really not an expert when it comes to this, but why don't you just talk to her then?" As I turned to argue, she pointed out, "It's not like anything's stopping you."

Despite what I told myself, there was nothing stopping me. I could have just excused myself and asked Kiwi if I could talk to Utena in private. As jealous as the girl was, she wasn't so possessive as to stop people from meeting with Utena. Had I been avoiding her all this time?

"Yes, yes you are," Kaoruke cheekily replied as if she had been reading my head. Given the frown on my face, I might as well have shouted it for everyone to hear. "You'll never know how she truly feels if you just stay here though," She pointed out before she got up.

As she stretched and limbered up, she started explaining, "I know we can be frustrating, elusive even, but that's how we are to people we like. We like to think that we let them know, that we gave them enough signs, but that's just an excuse we tell ourselves so we don't have to talk to them."

"We just hope that people we love will get what us girl's feel so sometimes, you have to ask us straight in the face if you want to know," She added as a wry grin stretched across her lips.

"If she likes you, she likes you," Said the girl as she looked at me, "If she plays around, then tough luck, cause someone else might just work up the courage to ask you out."

"There's really no other way huh," I asked as I started to get up before pausing as I found her helping hand. Smiling, I grabbed hold and pulled myself up.

"Nope," She answered before the bell started to ring. The period was about to end and they should probably get back with the class or they might get left behind. The teacher might have forgotten about them. Glancing at their classmates as they started to gather, she asked, "So, what are you going to do now?"

"I think I should go talk to her," I answered. There were no more excuses, no more running away, I had to talk to her. Smiling, I glanced back at the girl before thanking her, "Thanks Kaorukuke, I needed that."

"Hey, what are friends for?" She replied with an easy going smile. Walking towards our class, she gestured for me to follow, "Come on, I think they're going to actually leave us behind."

"Yeah," I laughed, jogging after her. As I caught up, a playful smile found itself on my lips as I reminded her, "But you still owe me." She was a good friend, yes, but just because she is doesn't mean he'll forget about her debt. She still owes him… even if he wasn't going to collect on it anytime soon.

"Drat, I thought that'd work," She chuckled before she turned around and walked backwards. Smiling at me, she offered, "Hey Mizuki, there is a karaoke bar my friends and I frequent when we want to distract ourselves. Maybe we could drop by there one of these days? Just the two of us?"

This made me nearly trip as I caught myself and looked up at her. "Are you asking me out?" I asked in surprise.

"Maybe," She playfully replied as she sported an enigmatic smile. Turning away, she glanced back, "So, what do you say?" It was certainly surprising, but one I was surprisingly not so against. It was just two friends going out, right?

"You know, that sounds fun," I replied. Who knows, maybe I could bring up the offer of getting her to work with me and Utena, though that could lead to some complications. Do I really want to ruin our friendship just because I wanted to do some business?

Kaoruko smiled as her cheeks took on a rosy hint. "But not before you talk to her," She reminded me as she stopped, letting me past, before pushing me ahead. As I stumbled forward, I looked back and found her with her friends. Waving at me, she mouthed, "Go get her Tiger."

I nodded back as we streamed back inside the school. We had lunch after this and there was no better time to talk to Utena once and for all.

-x-x-x-

It wouldn't take me long to find the brunette as she sat alone in the stairwell. Surprisingly, Kiwi was nowhere to be seen, but I wasn't going to question my fortune. Marching up to her, I grabbed her hand before pulling her up to her feet. "M-Mizuki-!" She cried out in surprise, "Wait, hold on!"

Leading her up to the roof, I closed the door behind us, before pinning her against the wall. As she froze up and shrank, I took a deep breath before I stared her in the eyes, "Utena, we need to talk." My hands were shaking and my knees felt weak, but I wasn't going to back down now.

"Is this a-about yesterday," She choked out as she started to sweat. As I nodded back, she suddenly bowed down and blurted, "I'm really sorry! I just lost control and I transformed-!" Her words were soon lost to me as it devolved into a mess of apologies.

As she started turning red, I grabbed her by the shoulder and shouted, "Breath!" This put a stop to her as she took a deep breath and gasped. Shaking my head, I asked, "Why… are you apologizing?" If anything, I should be the one that's apologizing since I have effectively ghosted her. Even now, I could feel the weight of my burner phone in my pocket.

"D-don't you remember?" She stuttered out, unable to look me in the eye, "About the thing where I pinned you down and took advantage of you…" Was she actually hung up about that of all things? Twiddling her thumb, she mumbled, "Wasn't that why you haven't talked to me?"

Taking a deep breath, I sighed before resting my hands on her shoulder. "Utena, first off, that was an accident," I reminded her. They were in the path of a rabid crowd who knocked them over. Even her transformation was beyond her control. Thinking about it, strong emotions might have been at play, but I'm getting ahead of myself here.

Turning my attention back to the timid girl, I continued, "And secondly, why the hell would I be mad at you just cause you got on top of me?" What was weird about that? I could have easily pushed her aside, before she transformed, so I didn't see the issue. "Where do you even get that idea in the first place?" I asked, wondering how she got this all in her head.

"W-well, you know that you're the talk of the school being my-I mean, Magia Braisers victim, and the girls keep talking about how angry you are…" She trailed off as she stared back at my look of bewilderment, "I'm sorry?" She said before she let out a squeak as I ruffled her hair. Why am I in love with this girl? This is so stupid, it hurts, yet it only made her more adorable.

"I was angry cause everyone kept asking the same damn question," I explained. Turns out, getting mobbed quickly drains your social battery, despite how big it was.

Looking up at me with a hopeful expression on her face, she asked, "So you're not angry at me?"

"No, I'm still angry at you," I answered, making her wither and cover her head in shame, "But that's because you kissed me all of a sudden and ran without an explanation," Shame quickly turned to mortification as her hands slid down and covered her face. Shaking my head, I asked, "Do you know how frustrating that was?"

She hung her head in shame, ears burning, as she replied, "I thought you didn't like it…" Clutching her hand close to her chest, she apologized, "I-I wasn't thinking when I k-kissed you and I should have known better-!"

I quickly cut her off as I placed my finger against her lips. As she stared with a wide eyed look on her, I replied, "I don't need an apology," Maybe I was being a bit harsh on the girl, but I just wanted answers. As the doubt started to bubble up once more inside my chest, I asked, "I just want to know why? Why did you kiss me when you have Kiwi?"

It was an ugly feeling, this doubt and loathing, as it ate away at me. "Why me?" I asked, "I'm the guy that basically blackmailed you into working in a dungeon so why me?"

As she stared at me with those hauntingly golden eyes of hers, she whispered, "I-It's the same thing I ask myself everyday." Biting her lips, she tore her eyes away before clutching her chest, "Why did I fall for you? Why is it that even when I love Kiwi, I still think of you everyday…"

"At first, I thought I was just going crazy, but the more that I know about you, the more I realized that this… this is real," She choked out as a bitter smile stretched across her lips.

Wiping the tears off her eyes, she continued, "You're an asshole, you're greedy, and you can be cruel at times." Her words, while cruel, had both of us chuckling. As she gazed up at me with her loving gaze, she added, "But at the same time, you can be so sweet, so caring and charming that I couldn't help myself and fall for you."

Hesitantly, she reached up, flinching back before finding the courage to cup his cheeks as she told me, "I-I… I want you Mizuki." Pulling me closer, I could feel her breath against my lips. Just Inches apart, one push and we would kiss once more, but she refrained, pulling away reluctantly as she looked down in shame.

"Despite how I keep telling myself otherwise, I want both you and Kiwi and I can't choose," She replied as she started to pull away even as I leaned against her hands, seeking her warmth. "Maybe that's why my body moves on its own," She whispered as she looked back up once again, "Is it bad that I love you both?"

Unable to hold myself any longer, I pushed my lips against her and pulled her into a searing hot kiss. Locking lips with the girl, I held her closer, hands roaming her body as she pulled herself closer. It was clumsy, yet this feeling of euphoria as I tasted her lips was indescribable. All thoughts went out the window as soon as we kissed.

Pulling away to catch his breath, she gasped, "Utena." This heedy feeling was intoxicating, addicting even. Her scent, the lurid moans she made as I kissed her neck, and her warmth made her too hard to resist. I couldn't help but want more as their lips locked once again.

As their kiss grew heated, her hands pulling away at her clothing, she pulled back. "Mizuki," She gasped, eyes fluttering, and out of breath as she pressed her forehead against his, "Why?" Leaning down, she bit his neck lightly, marking him with her teeth.
Holding back a hiss of pain and pleasure, I answered, "I want to see if the sparks were real and not just a fluke." As the smaller between us, I was at her mercy. Feeling her arms on my wrist, I found myself pinned up against the wall in a reversal.

"Were they?" She asked, her voice dripping with lust as she grew more bold as she started to undress with her top quickly getting undone. She was small, but I couldn't care less as I leaned in close and bit on the strap of her top. Gazing up, I pulled it down, earning me a moan as her top was freeing them for me to see.

Chuckling, I fired back, "What do you think?" I couldn't get enough of her. I wanted more.

"Y-you tease," She fired back before she leaned in close, pressing her against her chest. Latching in, I teased her hardened peaks as she reached down and touched me intimately. I had to bite back a groan as I felt her hands against her my length as it strained against my pants. She couldn't herself, could she? What a needy girl.

Returning the favor, I felt her up, reaching up her skirt and cupping her down below. Seizing up, her moans quickly filled the rooftop as slipped a finger inside her dripping wet core. Leaning against me, she gasped, ""O-oh god!" Her body, shaking, as she let out a strangled cry.

Her knees buckled under my touch. With her grip loosened, she bucked her hips, seeking my fingers even as I pulled out of her. With her face beet red and my hands soaking wet, she moaned out, "T-this is bad."

Capturing her lips once more, we locked lips, her protest half forgotten as a hand wrapped around me and pulled me closer. Pulling away as she seeked my lips, I replied, "I don't care anymore." I couldn't stop myself now. Pressing my lips against her neck, I told her, "If I have to share you with Kiwi, so be it." I was willing to share.

She was Kiwi's first and foremost, but so long as I could have some time with her, it was worth it. Letting out a moan of frustration, she pushed away, "T-that's wonderful, but I-I think we need to stop." Panting, she looked around as she whispered, "Somebody might see."

I was so lost in the pleasure that I had almost forgotten that we were still in public. Anyone could come up those stairs and find us half naked and making out. As much as I wanted to continue, I pulled away, making her whine in protest. Licking my lips, I apologized, "Sorry about that-!"

My words would be cut short as Utena hooked her fingers on the hem of my pants before looking at with those needy gaze. She wanted this badly. "You're making this harder for me, damn it," I whined as my pants felt so uncomfortably tight.

"I know," She giggled as she pulled away before turning around and covering her chest. Walking away, she looked back, inviting him with her hooded gaze

"You playful minx," I purred as I went after her and slipped my hands around her waist. Pressing my chest against her back, I leaned close before kissing her on the cheeks. As we held each other, with my chest against her back, I asked, "So, what does this make us?" Were they simply lovers or something more. "And what about Kiwi?" I added.

It was an unconformable question that needed to be answered. The two were a couple and people knew it. Despite her intent to have both of us, Utena was cheating as she hadn't told Kiwi about it.

With her blush creeping all the way down to her, she replied, "I think you're my b-boyfriend now?" Her smile however would quickly fall as she mulled over his other question. Biting her lips, she nodded, "But y-yeah, I need to talk to Kiwi. We… no, I can't hide this from her…"

"She'd be pissed," I told the girl. Kiwi had made it clear that she was not above being violent if someone got between her and Utena. If they want to tell her about this, they need to do this now.

"S-she might want to kill me as well," She added as worry filled her tone.

"She definitely would," I replied. There was no doubt in that. It was only the question of how messy it'll be and I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried as well.

"But if it means I could have you both," She replied as she turned around and planted a chaste kiss against my lips, "It'll be worth it."

Resting my forehead against hers, I jested, "I could make some potions so you don't die." I might actually need to do so if things go south. "Maybe some potion of courage as well?" I chuckled.
Utena chuckled as she playfully swatted at me. Glancing at the door, she said, "W-we should probably get back to class."

"It's lunch break," I replied as I pulled away and started to button up my shirt. While I wanted to continue, I still had the presence of mind not to take it too far. Accidents can happen and I wasn't ready to handle that.

While Utena grabbed her discarded clothes, I reached for my phone and checked the time. "We have fifteen minutes left," I noted as I glanced back at her.

Utena paused, biting her lips, before dropping her clothes and wrapping her arms around my neck. Looking up shyly, she offered "After this then?" As her hands slipped down once more, she added, "Cuddling wouldn't be bad, right?"

I was ashamed to say that I gave in and made out with her. While not as heated as earlier, we still shared a short, but tended moment up on the rooftop. Where our relationship would end after this is anyone's guess, one thing was certain, I wanted her more than anything in this world right now and I will fight for her.

-x-x-x-

While the two fooled around upstairs, a certain blonde wandered around, looking for her lost lover. "Utena-chan!" Kiwi called out as she walked down the empty halls. It was lunchtime but Utena was nowhere to be seen. Checking the last stairwell, she frowned, "Not here as well…" Where was she?

Utena has been rather cagey lately and the news about her wasn't helping. She scoffed at the mere thought of it. Her Utena, her girlfriend, interested in a boy? "At least get the facts right," She muttered as she looked around. Give her a break. Sure, there was that annoying pest, but Utena has her eyes on Kiwi and Kiwi alone!

Looking up the dark stairwell, she wondered; maybe she was on the rooftop? Climbing up the flight of stairs, she tried thinking where else she could be. Utena really doesn't like crowds the way she does and up top sounds like a good place for that. Just as she reached for the door knob, she paused as she heard some moans and giggling behind closed doors.

Grimacing, she turned around, and walked away. "Lucky bastards," She muttered, letting the couple be. She knew those sounds well enough to know that someone's getting busy, unlike her. Pulling at her hair, she cried out, "Damn it, why can't it be Friday already!"

She could already feel her core aching for Utena's tongue. Just the thought alone sent shivers of pleasure up her spine."I want to go out with her so bad!" She whined as she plopped herself down on the steps. Wiping the drool from her lips, she chuckled, "There's so many toys I want to try out~" For a girl so shy, once she got her out of her shell, Utena was quite the demoness.

As she reached down between her legs, a familiar voice would call out, "While I am mildly amused at how well you and Utena have bonded, perhaps you should leave details of your nightly activities behind closed doors."

Jolting, she whirled around and found the familiar dark form of her benefactor and ever adorable mascot, Vanalita. With her cheeks burning, she fired back, "You're just jealous cause you don't have someone to love like me!" Damn it, just when she was about to get busy.

Still, she's here so might as well. "Anyways, what is it that you want, Vanalita-chan?" Asked Kiwi as she glared at the mascot, "Can't you see I'm busy?" Admittedly, she should have gone to the bathroom to deal with this itch.

Stroking their chin, the mascot hummed, "Hmm, I was hoping that your partner was here, but I am rather busy so just pass this warning along." Shrugging, they flew over before plopping themselves on her shoulder, "One of my colleague's in town and I advise you to be careful around her."

"Wait, there's more of you?" She replied. Thinking about it, there were other evil magical girls from all the way down to Hokkaido and even overseas. Those were a lot of magical girls…

Vanalita merely shrugged as she answered simply, "Conquering the world is a collective effort." That seems reasonable. Still, why should she be worried about one of the Mascot's colleagues. Weren't they allies?

Curious, she asked, "Why should I be careful around her?" Do they have some falling out?

"Because she's a bitch," The mascot casually replied, making Kiwi snort as she held back her laughter. Staring at her with those blank eyes, Vanelita warned her once again, "But in all seriousness, avoid her at all cost." This gave Kiwi some pause.

As she raised a brow, the mascot explained, "She has a habit of messing with people and you two are right up her alley, being a couple and all." Feeling her hackles rise, she listened closely as the mascot smiled, "I'd rather not see you tear each other apart just when you two are getting along."

Grinning back, Kiwi cracked her knuckles. Let the bitch try," She growled, feeling her blood run hot, "Any that gets between me and Utena is dead!" Whoever she was, or whatever she was, it doesn't matter. Her love for Utena would shine through no matter the challenge.

"Good!" Said the mascot as she patted her on the head. Giving her a thumbs up, she flew away, and waved at her, "Keep up the good work~"

Watching them fly away, Kiwi wondered why they even bothered warning them. It's not like Utena and her hit a rough patch in their relationship. They only just moved up the next step after all. The only way she'd see them having an argument was if Utena was cheating on her, but that was silly. "Nah, Utena would never cheat on me," She nodded as she got up and walked away, "But seriously, where is she?"
