Profiteering from Magical Girls: Chapter 5

It was a beautiful night out here in Nerima. With the warm glow of the street lamps lighting our way and no particular destination in mind, Utena and I wandered around the sleepy ward, enjoying the sights and soaking in the ambience together. While neither matching Shibuya in its glamor, nor offering as much entertainment as that of Shinjki, Nerima had its own rustic charm.
Away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo's beating heart, we got to explore its meandering streets without worry. It was peaceful out here, almost boring even, as time seemed to pass by slowly. From the old faded signs hanging above the various shops, to the monotonous residential block, and even the odd stray plot of farm land here and there, it felt like the city got left behind.
Passing by the large Hikarigaoka Ima shopping mall, I followed Utena down the relatively empty streets. It was a weekday after all, barely anyone was out and about especially as the night grew colder. Aside from the odd couple on their date or the haggard looking student coming back from their cram school, we were left to ourselves.
Despite the lull however, my eyes wondered, jumping at every shadow. I still couldn't shake the feeling that we were being stalked and yet, I've not seen a hair nor hide of a certain gun toting Magical girl. Was I just being too paranoid?
Taking in a deep breath, I let out a heavy sigh as I gazed up at the night sky and saw the colorful streaks of magical girls trailing across the night sky. "Must have been just my imagination," I muttered, shivering at the cold evening breeze.
It's been an hour since we left the coffee shop and I've yet to see Kiwi. I expected to be jumped at any moment, but it seems it was just my nerves talking. Maybe I was spending too much time in the dungeon? I could spend some time away from it all, decompress. I could focus on school or maybe just spend my time with friends.
Smiling, I glanced towards Utena. The girl was a treat as not a single day seemed to be boring around her. From her endless font of knowledge about magical girls, and the way she keeps getting flustered around me, my days were never dull. I should probably ease on the teasing however as Kiwi was always watching.
Noticing my glance, Utena perked up. "Did you say something, M-mizuki?" Utena asked as she shivered as well. It was already well past eight and getting quite late. It was probably time they got back home.
"Nah, just thinking out loud," I replied before wincing as a harsh breeze blew past, making my teeth chatter. Rubbing my palm together, I breathed in some warmth back into my cold hand. "Man it's getting cold," I complained, "We should probably get back before your parents start to worry." Despite my older soul, we were still teens.
Nodding, Utena reached for her bag before pulling out a scarf. "H-here," the girl offered, making me blink. Given how badly she was shivering, she looked like she could use it more.
"Nah, you should wear it. It's not that bad," I lied, flashing her smile even as I had to brave a cold gust. Even after months living in this new life and a new body, I still couldn't quite tolerate the cold. Perhaps it was my Okinawan heritage showing. My home was under the sandy beaches, not the cold city of the north.
Shaking her head, Utena approached me as she replied, "I-I insist, you'll catch a cold." Despite my protest, the girl was persistent. Not until I relented was the girl satisfied. Wrapping the warm woolen cloth around my neck, the girl smiled, "There." I felt my cheeks burn as I avoided her gaze; I felt ridiculous. "Isn't that much better?" She asked.
It felt warm, smelling heavily of flowers. It was nice. Sighing, I nodded reluctantly, "Yeah." Hearing her chuckle, I reminded myself to buy myself a jacket or something. I didn't want to bother her every time it got cold.
"But yeah, we should get back," Utena said as she adjusted her hold on the box she carried. "Your parents are probably worried sick right now," She added as we headed for the bus stop, "I hope I didn't cause you too much trouble."
I frowned a bit before smiling sadly. "Don't worry about it. They know me well enough," I replied. I forgot that I've yet to tell Utena that I live alone, but I didn't want to correct her now. I really didn't want to ruin the mood.
As we stood there, waiting for the next bus to arrive, I called out to her, "Hey Utena." Perking, the girl glanced back at me, giving me a questioning look. Smiling back at her, I replied, "Thanks for showing me around. I really appreciate it."
It's been quite some time since I've last found time to relax. Forced in this new life, it was sink or swim as the rug was pulled beneath my feet. Away from my family and friends, I was lost, unsure on what to do until Utena came along. With her help, I finally had time to breathe, time for myself. I almost forgot what it was to relax, to just be myself and enjoy myself.
Utena smiled brightly, making my cheeks heat up, before she replied, "What are f-friends for?" I paused, feeling the warmth spread inside my chest before I nodded back. "B-besides, I was just trying to make sure you're ok. I've heard there's been a lot of delinquents lately," She warned me, reminding me of my previous encounter.
Grinning, I replied, "Come on Utena, you think a couple of punk's going to scare me?" It was false bravado at best, but I didn't want to worry her too much. "After everything we've been through in the Dungeons together?" Yes, they can be scary, but so were the goblins and especially the orcs. They were monsters, delinquents were people.
"I-I know you c-could handle them," Utena replied before adding, "But I'm afraid of what you'll do to them!" Eyeing me with a hint of fear, she asked, "Y-you don't use people for your potions right?" Taken aback by her reply, I found myself laughing. I should be the one afraid of her, not the other way around.
Still, I couldn't help but tease her. "Oh nothing as crude as that," I smiled before grinning widely, "I just use them as test subjects~" I lied off course as mobs were plenty enough for that purpose. I was greedy, not a monster.
The girl let out a squeak before begging me, "M-mizuki! Please don't test those potions on them!" As I snickered, the girl wrung her hands as she glanced away, "I-I know they can be horrible but I don't want you getting in trouble, ok?" Blushing she added, "W-would you really want to miss out on our dungeon dives?"
Shaking my head, I replied, "Fine, I won't use my Pipe Bombs on them." Pulling out a [Pipe Bomb] from my inventory, I laughed as the girl started to panic before I had to fend her off. While we were both small, Utena was just bigger.
"M-mizuki! I told you to get rid of those!" The girl hissed as she pulled the bomb off my hand and hid it inside her inventory. I was probably never going to get that back and it was the only one I have. Hey, you never know when you need to blow something up.
"Fine, but could I at least have that back?" I asked, but the girl was not having any of my shenanigans. Pouting, I crossed my arms before looking away. "But yeah yeah, I understand," I replied, miffed at losing my toy. "Besides, it would be a shame to be separated from my cute employee just because I had to start throwing potions around."
"Y-you better keep away from trouble, you hear me!" Utena scolded me, making me snort in amusement.
"Says the evil magical girl," I poked back. We're both kind of horrible in our own way, but at least I own up to mine! Shaking my head as she pouted, I replied, "But kidding aside, thanks Utena, for worrying about me." It was a nice feeling knowing that I had someone to rely on, someone I could fall back to if things go bad.
The girl paused before letting out a sigh as she gave me a wry smile. "N-no problem," She replied before she slowly reached out to my hair.
"Don't push your luck," I warned her, making her pause "I'd bite you, I swear." I replied even as I tried to hide the smile threatening to break out. Laughing, Utena ruffled my hair, "Damn it Utena!" I hissed, trying to act pissed, but I couldn't help but laugh with her. Despite the absurdity of it all, it was fun having someone to banter with.
Straightening my hair, I sighed, "Man, it's kind of a shame that it's getting late." Utena had her parents to go back to while I had to prepare some bento boxes for tomorrow. Maybe I should ask Utena if she could lend me some of her Nymphs for cooking. "Wish we had more time to go around," I said, feeling bummed out that the day had to end.
"Y-yeah," Utena replied, shoulders sagging as well. Glancing down on her cake, she said, "Thanks for the C-cake by the way. I'm sure Kiwi would appreciate it, but it's kinda e-expensive…"
"Can't I spoil my best employee?" I replied with a grin. Oh I was spoiling her, engrating her to me by giving her a taste of how much better it was to work for me, but the little gift of hers was also a peace offering. Kiwi might not have been stalking us, but it was best to make her happy. We were classmates after all… I'd rather not deal with her glaring daggers at me all day.
"I'm your only employee…" Utena fired back, reminding me of my lack of magical girls. She does make a good point. Given enough money, I could start getting some industrial processors for my ingredients. An electric stove, a better pot, perhaps actually mixers rather than having to stir it by hand. The possibilities were endless.
"You could always bring Kiwi in on our little operation," I pointed out. Was a bit too early trying to get Kiwi on board, perhaps, but it was worth the trouble. I wouldn't have gotten Utena on board if I wasn't ballsy enough to ask her after all.
"Y-you wouldn't mind having her join?" Utena asked, sounding surprised by my suggestion. "D-didn't you say it's risky bringing in other girls?" She added.
"Well, that was until you showed me just how much of a good girl you are," I replied. I took a risk getting Utena on board and I had to make sure she doesn't get someone involved, but the girl had been nothing if not the most loyal employee one could ask for. "I think I could risk having my best girl's girlfriend as part of our operation," I told her.
"I-I could try," She replied, slowly nodding as she considered it. "At least if she knows, I wouldn't have to make excuses right?" She asked as I nodded back.
"Mhmmm" it would also be easier on my part as well, no longer having to skirt around the girl when I wanted to talk to Utena about a possible incursion on when I needed to pay the girl. It would also help me ease my mind if I could take them both out for snacks or diners. There wouldn't be any reason to be jealous if she was there, right?
Imagining her tearing up the forest with her, I chuckled. "Though I pity the goblins if she ever gets her hands on them. She's going to tear them apart," Those monsters were just about as devious as one could get. The fact that they might have a liking for girls would definitely piss off the short fused teen.
As we discussed how we were going to approach Kiwi on this matter, I heard a commotion at a distance. I dismissed it at first, but the sound quickly got louder. "Huh, do you hear that?" Utena asked as both of us turned to the mall. Was there an event? As I turned back to look the other way, my eyes widened at the stampede heading our way.
"Move aside!" A rabid mob, one sporting Tres Magia merch and all, barreling down towards us, shouted, "Tres Magia's just fought a monster and is doing a fan signing! We can't miss it!" Their warning came a bit too late as they were almost upon us.
Perking up, Utena turned as she shouted, "W-where!?" Her excitement quickly turned to horror as we faced down a stampede. I tried pulling her away, but the mob was faster, knocking us aside. Bracing myself, I hit the pavement, cushioning Utena's fall.
I winced, feeling the breath knocked out of me as the girl landed atop me. Groaning, I laid there, reconsidering my choices. "H-hey Mizuki, you ok…" The girl asked as she pulled away before trailing as both our cheeks grew flush as we found ourselves in a compromising position.
She felt so soft in my arms, her touch sending shivers up my spine as she shifted, straddling my hips. Pressing against her, desire overwhelmed my reasoning, my heart racing as we both slowly leaned forward, our lips just inches apart. As our breath intermingled and her scent filled my lungs, I wanted nothing but to kiss her. It was just one innocent kiss right?
Just as our lips were about to meet, a flash of light would break us out of our trance. Blinking away the spots in my vision, I found myself staring up at Utena, or rather Magia Braiser, as she slowly felt herself up. "Eh?" Blinking in confusion, the girl let out a shriek of surprise as she sat up and stared at herself in horror, "Eh?!" She shouted in panic, "Why now?!"
I've already seen Utena wearing her fetish gear of a costume many times, but feeling her against myself was a whole other matter. "O-oh wow," I whispered as I felt my pants tighten below.
Before both of us could process what had just happened, Utena's eyes widened in surprise and pain as a yellow flash slammed against her back. "Get off him you creep!" I heard a familiar voice shouted as my partner was thrown off me.
Kouruko Tenkawa
Magia Sulfur
I laid there, frozen at the look of absolute fury written across Sulfur's face as she stood over me. She glared at my partner, teeth bared, as an equally pissed pair in Azul and Magenta (or atleast the best she could, bless her pure soul) landed beside us. Stepping in front of us, the girls stood on guard while Sulfur knelt down before me.
"Hey, are you alright?" Sulfur asked in concern as her features softened. "She didn't touch you anywhere inappropriate, right?" She questioned while she inspected me for bruises. She was surprisingly gentle with the way she handled me. The same however couldn't be said for Utena.
Glancing towards my partner, the poor girl groaned as she clutched her back. Just as I was about to bolt for her, the girl looked up, glaring at me and stopping me dead in my tracks. "Don't" I saw her mouth out as she got back to her feet. She looked fine enough, if a bit roughed up. The same couldn't be said for the cake, now little more than splatter across the ground.
Giving the crestfallen girl an empathetic gaze, I turned away and gazed up at Sulfur. "Y-yeah, I'm fine," But Utena wasn't, "I just need to walk this off. Thank you," I lied, angry at how they suddenly barged in, but understanding why they did so.
Despite how sweet and kind Utena was, she was still an enemy magical girl, one employed by a being whose nebulous goals put her at odds with the magical girls. Even I was in the dark on what Vanelita wanted out of Utena despite my knowledge. Getting mixed in with her especially with the likes of Tres Magia around would end terribly for me.
As much as I wanted to explain that this was a misunderstanding, I couldn't. How could I reasonably explain why I was without Magia Braiser without implicating Utena as the Evil Magical Girls true identity? I wasn't sure if the trio would listen, but I wasn't going to risk it. After all, they didn't give Utena much of a chance early on.
It was frustrating being unable to act, but I had to play it cool for now. Biting my tongue, I gazed up at Sulfur's offered hand. Grabbing hold, I pulled myself up, doing my best to not let them hear me sigh. Despite how much I wanted too, I couldn't really stay angry at these girls.
"Don't worry, Mi-Citizen!" Azur assured me with a confident smile, "We'll handle her!" After all, They were merely trying to protect their classmate from the Evil Magical Girl. There was little time to think when Magia Braiser was literally on top of me.
"Really Tres Magia? Why did you hate to ruin it just as it was about to get fun," Utena shouted, eyes begging me to run. Glaring at the girls, she licked her lips before she laughed, "It was a shame really. Just when I almost had his first kiss." Hunched over, a wicked smile stretched across her lips, sending shivers up my spine. For a girl claiming to be innocent, she was really good at this.
"Go!" Sulfur shouted, pushing me away as she gave me an apologetic look. Seeing how angry Utena looked, I decided to book it, not wanting to be caught between a cat fight. Ducking for cover behind the raised garden beds lining the street, I peered out, watching from a safe distance.
While I wasn't brave enough to fight with Utena, I could still cause trouble. Feeling the [Fire Bomb] clutched in my hands, I kept watch, hoping I didn't need to jump in to help Utena.
As Utena faced off with Tres Magia, Sulfur stepped forward, cracking her knuckles as a strained smile stretched across her face. "You have a lot of nerve showing your face around her Magia Braiser," She growled out, clearly rearing for a fight.
"Would you believe me it was a misunderstanding?" Utena replied, eyes a bit hopeful as she knelt down and scooped up the cake. "He invited me and everything," The girl explained as she sighed out, letting the crumbs fall down between her, "And we had the most wonderful time…"
Of course, Tres Magia wouldn't take her words at face value. "Disgusting," Kaoruko sneered as she pointed at her, "Using your good looks to trick a boy to go out with you and then harassing them out in public? And for what, to satisfy your twisted desire?" It's not like Utena was being clear about her words, but still. It's as if these two were looking for a fight.
"H-how lewd!" Magenta shouted as she stepped forward, joining Sulfur. "I knew your lust knows no bounds but having it directed to a boy?" Shaking her head, she raised her wand and shouted, "Your reign of terror ends here Braiser!"
"Oh well," Braiser shrugged as she chuckled darkly. Striking the cake as she stood up, it shifted, changing to a form similar to my own. Multiplying before our eyes, an army of Cake Golems now stood behind her. Wrapping her arms around one of them, she licked their cheeks as she said, "It was fun while it lasted," Oy! Don't drag me into this!
Mizuki's Effigy
Minion
"And here I thought you couldn't stoop any lower. Guess you love to prove me wrong " Sulfur taunted, rolling her shoulders as massive gauntlets wrapped around her fist. Light burst from the seams as she crouched low and let out a savage grin. "Permission to beat her ass, Magenta," She asked as she clenched her fist.
"Permission granted," Magenta nodded as her wand grew to a massive club while Azul's turned into a sword. With a war cry, the two sides threw themselves at each other and cake flew in every direction.
"Fucking damn it," I hissed, forced to watch from the sidelines as Utena commanded her army to mob the Magicals Girls. Their cakey bodies however would prove too soft as they splattered all over the girls, their numbers slowly being whittled down. "I really should have packed some Bombs right now!"
Utena took my Pipe Bomb leaving me with my [Fire Bomb] and [Bath Bomb]. Fire would be too extreme while what would do little than to make them trip, not enough to turn the tide of battle. All alone and without Kiwi to support her, Utena would be overwhelmed.
I had to bite my cheek as I heard the girl shriek, thumbling across the pavement as the last of my [Effigy] caught her. Wiping the frosting off her cheeks, the girl glared up at Sulfur as the magical girl approached. "Stand up," The girl taunted, "Don't think I'll let you go easily this time. You crossed the line, bitch."
Laughing, Utena replied, "I-I wouldn't have it any other way." God damn it Utena, why are you standing up? With the help of my [Effigy], she stood up before Sulfur beckoned her forward, taunting her.
"Damn it, Utena. Run!" I hissed, feeling the [Fire Bomb] beneath my hand. Were magical girls fireproof? Was I really going to burn these girls just to save Utena? Well, there's only one way to find out. Just as I pulled my scarf up and was about to throw the potion, I saw Utena reach for her inventory.
Pulling out five potions, one of each [Silver Grade] potion I made for, she downed it all. One after the other, she drank it, healing up before our eyes and growing stronger. I could feel the hair on the back of my neck standing up as she downed the [Mana Potion]. "Stop her!" Azul shouted, rushing to knock the [Speed Potion] off her hands, but it was far far too late.
Utena grinned, catching Azul's sword, as the black star in her eyes glowed brightly. Eyes widening in surprise, she tried to pull away, but Braiser was far stronger now. "My dear, if you will," The girl commanded, her voice giddy as the Effigy raised its hands.
Before the girls could even react, a wave of cake sweeped them up, pulling them up to form a giant mound with the girls spread eagle as their limbs were bound with frosting. Despite their struggles, the girls were unable to break free as the cake kept reforming, keeping them in place. Trapped, they were all but helpless as Utena approached.
"... I really should run," I whispered, watching Utena reach for Sulfur. Pressing her hands against frosting covering the girls chest, sinking inside the creamy mixture as Sulfur redoubled her effort. I watched as the girl's eyes widened before a tearing sound echoed in the street. She screamed, cheeks read as her clothes were torn off her body with only frosting covering what little modesty she had left.
"But fuck it if this isn't the horniest shit I've seen in ages," I whispered in awe at the how ruthless Utena was with the girls. In the end, Sulfur was left teary eyed and naked as the other two suffered the same faith.
Utena grinned maliciously as she brought up a silken patch of cloth up to Sulfur, making the magical girl's face red as she turned away. "A few more minutes wouldn't hurt, right?…" I whispered as I couldn't tear my eyes away. I admit, I had a moment of weakness.
-x-x-x-
Utena giggled as she leaned in close to her beloved Tres Magia, enjoying how they squirmed beneath her touch. Pressing herself close, hands trailing down the blonde's toned stomach, she felt a thrill run up her spine. No matter how many times she captured them, how she tormented them, she still felt excited.
As Sulfur let out a gasp, stiffening as she cupped her down, Utena shivered in delight. Still, despite how her heart leapt with joy now that she had them in once more, she felt… annoyed. Like a discordant note, this sour feeling spreads across her chest, ruining this precious moment.
Yes… she was mad, enraged even, as she pulled away, the girl's hips unconsciously seeking her touch as she left her hanging. Shame quickly washed over the girl's form as Utena slipped her fingers inside her mouth, savoring the strong taste of arousal mixed in with the sweetness coating the girl's form.
"You know, I was having a good time," She whispered, leaning closer, her chest pressing against Sulfur's own as she reached up and grabbed her by the roots of her hair. "But you have to ruin it," She growled, pulling her head back as she leaned close.
"R-ruined?" The girl stuttered, grinning definitely even as her breath hitch at how close her lips were to her neck. "Hah, we probably made that boy's night when we saved him!" The girl taunted, making Utena's hands slip.
The girl cried out as Utena reminded her position, as her plaything. Easing her hold on the girl's hair, wiping the tears falling off her face, she asked, "Do you know how long it took me to work up the courage to ask him out?" Red hot rage bubbling up her rage as the desire to ruin this girl, now that she had her hands on her, filling her thoughts. "How many I killed just to get his attention?"
How dare she ruin her date with Mizuki. How dare she trampled on her hopes and fragile love. She could… but no, she doesn't know any better. She'd be no more than a master mistreating her pet just because they ruined a carpet. Instead, a correction was in order.
Quest: Punish Them
Tres Magia has misbehaved and ruined a perfect night. Such actions cannot be ignored. It's time to show them their place.
Reward: Increase Tres Magia's Corruption
She could barely hold her laughter as she read the prompt. Even her beloved's power was agreeing with her. Yes… she needed to teach them some manners.
Seeing the girl's eyes widen brought a smile to Utena's face. Good, she knew what was coming for her. "Y-you're insane!" Sulfur whispered, eyes darting around as she struggled harder against her bonds.
Giggling at the girl's petty insult, she replied, "Believe what you want because that wouldn't matter once I'm done with you three~" There was too much cream on her body. She needed to wipe the excess away.
"Since you scared him off, you'll have to take his place," She told her as she wiped the cream off her stomach, exposing her fair skin. "It's only fair, is it not~?" She asked as she removed the cream off her thighs and shoulders as well.
"H-hey, what are you doing!" The girl protested, her skin growing flush as her breath quickened. "Stop!" She begged her, but she ignored her as kept wiping away until barely anything at all, her privates covered by a thin covering of sinfully delicious frosting.
"We shared some cake earlier. It was delicious~" She shared as she leaned in close, unable to hold herself any longer. "I'm merely having seconds!" She couldn't herself any longer. She wanted a taste~
"N-nooooo~!" The girl's lurid moans filled the air along with her partners as [Mizuki's Effigy] played with them. They'll have to wait as Sulfur needs her personal touch. Groping the girls chest, she brought their hardened tips up to her lips and started licking, "Not there!" the girl gasped as she licked away at the delicious cream covering her sinful body.
Utena's tongue glided across Sulfur's skin as the girls moaned. Sliding down, she ran her hands across her figure, tracing them as she knelt before the blonde. "O-oh god, not the tongue!" the girl cried out as the scent of arousal filled her lungs, inviting her to have a taste.
Licking her thighs, she felt the girl quake as she begged her, "Don't go there! It's dirty!" Her cries were like music to her ears, her moans guiding her as she kept teasing her, but not quite taking her. They were merely playing after all, nothing too serious~
"As expected of you Sulfur" She breathed out as she pulled away, giving the girl some time to recover as well. "So pure, so sexy, so delicious~" She whispered before she shifted to the other side, making sure both thighs were clean.
"Mmmm, Ahh~!" She cried out as the frosting started to drip down between her legs, her hips bucking while her body shook in the aftermath. As smiled up at Sulfur, the girl glared back, her face burning with indignation. "Y-you're not going to get away with this!" She hissed, panting as she sagged against her bond.
"I admit, I'm a bit jealous that he likes you," She admitted, making the girl's eyes widen as she stood up so they were face to face. Despite her treatment, the girl refused to break, refused to bow. She truly was like her Kiwi.
Capturing her lips, she had to pull back else the girl would bite her tongue off. She is certainly just as feisty as well. "But I can see now why he does. Maybe we can share him if you want," She whispered offering the girl a place. She wasn't greedy to keep him all for herself after all.
Her generosity however would be rewarded by a spat on the face. "F-fuck you!" The girl growled back, but she wouldn't be able to keep that tone, not after Utena pressed her knees against the girl's crotch. "Oh fuck!" The girl moaned as she grinded against her, but the girl was certainly full of surprises.
Powering through the pleasure, the girl gritted out, "O-once I get my hands on you, I'll make you pay! I'll kill you!" Her face twisted to one of pleasure and loathing. It was an intoxicating look, one she found herself drawn too.
"A little hard to do, especially since you're stuck, no?" She taunted, goading her on, wanting that hatred to burn bright just as she pushed her to the edge, "Don't worry though, I'll only play with you just a bit~" She laughed, enjoying every last second of this.
Breathing raggedly, the girl laughed, making Utena pause. "I-I doubt you can play with me any longer than you have," She replied.
"Oh?" Quirking a brow at the girl, she asked, "Why is that?" What could this girl possibly do to stop her? She was restrained, her allies incapacitated. There was nothing these three could do to harm her now. It would take a miracle to free them now.
Grinning at her, the girl answered as she gazed up to the sky, "We brought back up" Eyes widening, Utena turned only to freeze as two lights hovered just above them. "N-now!" The girl shouted and Utena knew pain.
"Finales Funkeln!"
Utena scream was drowned out in the roaring blast as it slammed down on her. As the intense light blinded and the deafening roar shook her to her very core, she could only think of one thing as she was sent flying, "It felt so warm…"
She returned back to consciousness as she crashed against the pavement for the second time tonight. Groaning, she climbed back to her feet and stared in muted horror and wonder as Tres Magia got back to their feet, their bodies bare other than the frosting covering their form, but unharmed.
"How?" She whispered, her heart racing in excitement at the sudden reversal. A power up? An ally? How did they break free from her grasp? She wanted to know! Her train of thought however would come to a screeching halt as a familiar green form landed in front of her.
"L-leopard!" She gasped in horror as Kiwi laid there, her form battered and bruised. With her clothes torn and burns all over her skin, she looked like she had just come out of a fight. Who did this to her?
Leopard coughed, curled over in pain as she rolled to her back. As her head turned around and saw her, she reached out, grimacing in pain. "B-braiser, run!" the girl begged her before passing out, her eyes rolling up their sockets as she slumped over.
Scrambling to her side, she pulled out a [Health Potion] before pressing it to her lips. "D-drink, this should make you feel better," She told her, trying to get her lover to down the tincture.
The blonde gagged, coughing as the vial emptied, but she got it all down. Utena sighed in relief as she watched the cuts and bruises slowly disappear from Leopard prone form. Despite having experienced its effect first, she still couldn't quite believe how effective Mizuki's potions were. "I-it'll be alright, I got you," She whispered, hugging her tightly.
"Well, well, look what we have here," A playful tone chuckled, drawing Utena's attention back to Tres Magia. Sitting there over the ruin of her cake was a fiery haired twin tailed girl smirking as the barrel of a rocket launcher stared down at her. "A pair of bitches out harassing our Juniors," The girl said, aiming her rocket at them, before glancing at the pinkette attending to the Injured Tres Magia. "What do you say Lux? Ready for a good ole beatdown?"
"It's a bit crude, but yes," The girl replied as she wrapped a towel over Sulfur's half naked form. "She does have a punchable face," She added as she stood up, grabbing her staff as she sent a harsh glare at Utena.
Their colorful attire, the magic they wielded, the purity they seemed to exude, they couldn't be anything other than magical girls. In fact, she knew who they were. "S-star Guardians!" She gasped, unable to believe her luck. She heard of them from the neighboring wards, veteran magical girls who had already made a name for themselves, but never could she believe that they'd attack her!
Luxanna Crownguard
Star Guardian Lux
Powder
Star Guardian Jinx
Before she could ask for their autograph, she heard Mizuki's muffled voice shouting at her. "God damn Utena, now's not the time to fangirl!" Turning towards the boy who remained even after she had warned him, she saw him standing there, her scarf wrapped around his face and holding a large bundle of [Bath Bombs] over his head.
"Hey, Star Guardians!" He shouted, catching the magical girl's attention, "Catch!" With a mighty heave, he threw the bundle at them. Without a moment of hesitation, Jinx turned to the bundle and fired, shattering the vials and releasing a deluge of soap bubbles racing across the street.
"Wha-!" Before anyone could even process what had happened, all of them were drowned out in the sudsy flood that was Mizuki's powerful cleaning tool. Bracing herself, she closed her eyes shut, shielding Kiwi a well as the flood washed over them. "Oh god, it's in my eyes!" The red head screamed as she heard them sputter.
Waving her hands around, trying to get the bubbles off them, she stopped as Mizuki burst in throwing more [Bath Bombs] at the Star Guardians general direction. "M-Mizuki!" She sputtered, grabbing the boy before he ran into the road, "This is dangerous!"
"I'm not just gonna stand there and watch you get your ass handed to you!" The boy shouted back before he commanded her, "I'll grab Kiwi. Run!" Unable to retort, she did as told, fleeing as the boy slung Kiwi over his shoulder. It was time for them to retreat.

We ran for what felt like an eternity, stopping only after the expletives and massive fuck off beams shooting up the sky faded into the background. Panting, I nearly stumbled on the cold pavement of the alley we found as we came to a stop. I was by no means unfit, being part of the track and field, but carrying Kiwi took its toll. Sweaty and exhausted, I collapsed to my knees, but I made sure not to drop the girl.
"Fuck, that was terrifying," I breathed out as I slid the girl off my shoulder and laid her down on the ground. Freed of the weight on my body, I could finally rest. "W-we got away, right?" I asked, coughing as I got on all fours, unable to get myself back on my feet due.
Stumbling after us, Utena collapsed to the ground, her Magical Girl Form finally fading as we took refuge in the alley. "I thought we were goners!" she cried before she rolled over as sweat rolled off her soaked shirt. "There was so much screaming, but you got them good! Who would have thought Bath Bombs would make for a good get away!" She laughed.
"Yeah," I chuckled, leaning against the wall as I pulled out some [Health Potions] as well as some [Strength Potions]. Tossing two of each to Utena, I asked, "How's Kiwi?" Popping the potions opened, I downed their contents, sighing in relief as some strength returned to my limbs.
They weren't quite what I needed, as I needed some form of recovery to fill my diminished reserves rather than heal my body, but in a pinch the two combined would do. "Reminder to self, figure out how to make a Stamina Potion," I told myself as I wiped the sweat off my forehead.
"She's fine, if a bit beat up," She replied as she pushed herself off the ground before checking on Kiwi, giving her a dose of the potions. Helping her down the potion, some color returned to Kiwi's pale form.
"Good," I nodded, feeling the tension slowly bleed off me as I slumped against the wall. "For now, let me just catch my breath," I told her as we used some of my last [Bath Bombs] to clean up before we sat there in silence. Being in a fight was always a terrifying experience, but I was glad to get them out.
"A-about earlier," Utena whispered, breaking through the silence after a while. "I'm sorry for messing it up," She apologized as she gazed down on her lap, "It was going great before that happened. I should have just ran, but I stayed… and then there's the cake." Looking all miserable with an unconscious Kiwi on her lap, she looked like a kicked puppy.
Shaking my head, I reached out before giving her a comforting pat. "Nah, forget about it," I told her, ruffling the girl's hair as she looked back at me, "It's just cake." It was expensive, but in the end it was just cake. "I'd rather lose that than you," I told her before flashing her a smile. Smiling back, Utena nodded as she cheered up.
Pulling away, I gazed up at the night sky. It was a beautiful night with the moon hanging overhead, bathing the world in its ethereal light. "I-it's getting late, we should probably go," Utena stuttered as she looked at me, "D-do you want me to escort you back home?" She asked as she swallowed thickly.
"Nah, I'm good," I replied. It would be safer to have her around, but it was getting really late. "Besides, I think Kiwi's mother would appreciate it more if you bring her home first," I told her, making the girl chuckle nervously.
"Y-yeah," She replied. "But if you're in trouble, D-don't hesitate to call ok!" She told me as a worried look flashed over her face. "Y-you remember my number, right?" She asked.
"Yeah, yeah," I chuckled before waving them off, "Now go before your parents get really angry," I warned them before teasing the girl, "It would be a shame if we escaped those girls only for the two of you to get grounded." It wasn't Tres Magia or the Star Guardians I'm worried about, it's their parents.
"O-ok," Utena nodded as she picked up Kiwi. They must have really gotten her good if she was still knocked out cold. As we both got up, Utena called out, "U-um, before I go… I just wanted to ask."
Quirking a brow at her, I replied, "Yeah?"
"Y-you said you like it when g-girls are direct right?" She suddenly asked, catching me out of the blue. I frowned, not sure what to say, before just deciding to nod. What brought this abou-!
All thoughts came to a screeching halt as I felt Utena's lips against my own. Pressing against me, our lips locked as her taste mixed with the cake still left on her lips. She tasted sweet, like frosting. Pulling away, she licked her lips as she whispered back, "T-thank you for saving me and Kiwi."
Unable to reply, I just stood there like an idiot. Almost immediately, the girl turned red as she panicked. "... Was that a bit too direct?" She asked while I stood there frozen. "O-oh god, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" She apologized, running away before I could reply.
"W-wait!" By the time I gathered, she was already gone, leaving me confused. "I forgot to give you this back…" I whispered as a storm of emotions roiled inside my chest. Did… Did Utena just kiss me?
A/N:
Would you guys believe that this was supposed to be part of Chapter 4? Well... kinda got inspired so kept going and made these. You got action, romance, dungeon diving, some comedy and the whole nine yards. Could have been better but satisfied how this came out. Going to rest for now. I'll try to throw out a breather chapter (those small chapters I usually push out) before moving on to the next work. Hope you guys like this!
